très bel établissement sur les hauteurs de Ella
Pros:

établissement très agréable perché en pleine nature, à 20 min a pieds de Ella en longeant la voie ferrée (pratique apparemment courante localement). certainement une affaire de famille, nous avons été accueillis par le fils, puis la maman, que des personnes très agréables et à l'écoute de nos besoins. petit déjeuner fait maison très généreux et bon. vue depuis la terrasse de la chambre absolument magnifique

Cons:

l'accès est un peu scabreux... ne pas s'y engager avec un véhicule sans savoir ou vous vous rendez ! mais l'établissement prévoit tout, nous avions été prévenus en amont et un véhicule est venu nous chercher au début de la portion de route concernée.

Nice view but not very accessible
Pros:

We had a 2 bedroom suite which was really nice with an excellent view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked 3 nights and reduced it to 2 and they were ok with that.

Cons:

Breakfast and dinner not good. The location is remote so no other choice for food. We had a driver who had to wait for us on the main road. The hotel provides a tuktuk to take you the steep 600 metres to the main road. If I returned to Ella I would choose somewhere more accessible especially to have other food options

Don't let the view fool you!
Pros:

The view.
That is the only positive point we saw. We had the family room. Not sure if the other rooms are better...
The guy that showed us the room and pick up the luggage was very friendly. The rest of the staff was a bit strange.
Breakfast is ok.

Cons:

We stayed in Family Room, it was a big disappointment. Bathroom needs some repairments, so the water does not flood the bathroom.
The price is too high for the real quality. Only the view is good.
Some staff is strange. We receive the information that is possible to have dinner at location, since the way out is difficult. We get the menu per Whatsapp and confirm that we want to have dinner. Then we cannot find the place there to eat. We ask a lady (afterwards we understood is part of the owners!!), where we can eat, and she does not speak good english and tell us there is restaurant there, only outside. Fortunately we had a late lunch, so we just went early to bed without dinner.
Afterwards (during breakfast) we understood that she is the one that cooks for the guests! So very confusing information.

The worst stay in our holidays. I'm sure there are other places in Ella that have also a great view but are better!
I would never return to this place.

Smidt ud efter 1 nat. Familie med 2 børn.
Pros:

Udsigten var helt fantastisk, alt andet var så helt utroligt dårligt.

Cons:

Vi blev kontaktet af personalet efter den første nat, de ville spørge os om vi ville flytte til et andet værelse. Vi sagde pænt nej tak, vi nød udsigten på terrassen udenfor vores værelse. Personalet blev ved med at spørge os, selvom vi gentagende gange sagde, at det ønskede vi ikke. De stoppede ikke, og de bad os om at flytte til et andet hotel, selvom vi havde booket 4 nætter der. Det var virkelig en ubehagelig oplevelse.

Pros:

La vue est super belle surtout au lever du soleil, nous etions dans la chambre 201 et c'est clairement la meilleure, avoir une baignoire avec cette vue c'etait genial. Je dirais même que c'était notre meilleur logement au Sri Lanka.

Le petit dejeuner etait excellent, le personnel adorable!

L'accès à Ella city en suivant les rails pendant 20min a pied est un gros plus, on faisait ce trajet tout les jours, c'etait super pratique, on y a croisé des petits oiseaux et singes le long des rails.

Pour avoir ensuite fait un autre logement à Ella (Ella Camelot), je trouve le rapport qualité-prix largement meilleur au Rainbow Sky Cottage, je vous le recommande les yeux fermés!!

Dommage qu'on ait pas pu prolonger notre sejour au Rainbow Sky Cottage!

Cons:

Quand il pleut l'eau de la baignoire ne chauffe pas. Le wifi n'a quasi jamais marché et l'électricité sautait quand il pleuvait mais bon c'est la montagne donc faut s'y attendre et c'est rien de grave.

Le gerant de l'hotel prenait du temps à repondre mais bon nous y etions pendant le nouvel an Tamoul donc il devait être assez occupé ! On ne lui en veut pas.

Pros:

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und liebevoll mit vielen Blumen gestaltet.
Positiv hervorzuheben sind die sauberen und bequemen Betten. Das Essen ist ebenfalls lecker. Die Familie die es betreubt ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Es gibt kostenlos Shampoo und Duschgel.

Cons:

Insgesamt war das Zimmer in Ordnung, allerdings stimmt für mich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz.
Die Zimmer sind leider etwas veraltet. Teilweise fallen die Schlösser fast aus den Türen und auch Regale lösen sich bereits von den Wänden. Zudem sind die Türen zu den Zimmern sehr niedrig, sodass man sich regelmäßig den Kopf stößt. Der Kaffee beim Frühstück hingegen ist leider nicht zu empfehlen, da er eher wie heißes Wasser schmeckt. Es gab auch kein kostenloses Wasser im Zimmer wie bei vielen anderen Unterkünfte. Außerdem ist es sehr beschwerlich von der Hauptstraße zu der Unterkunft zu gelangen. Zu Fuß über Sie Bahngleise sind es ca. 20 Min. Bis nach Ella. Das Licht im Zimmer ist sehr grell.

Pros:

Das Zimmer, der Ausblick, der Service.
Die Lage ist zwar etwas außerhalb und der Weg dorthin ziemlich steil, aber wenn ma ein guter Scooter Fahrer ist, ist es kein Problem. Dafür ist es schön ruhig mit gutem Ausblick.
