Beautiful home away from home
Pros:

Wonderful location with brilliant hosts. Chami and Nilu went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We also did a cooking class with Nilu which was great, learning how to make 6 curries!

Une adresse coup de coeur
Pros:

Une de nos adresses coup de coeur lors de notre séjour. Lieu situé à l'écart de l'agitation de ELLA, tout en restant à proximité (5-10 minutes en tuk tuk, Monsieur proposant ses services pour les déplaements), dans un écrin de verdure. La chambre est confortable, mais ce qui fait toute la différence est la qualité de l'accueil. Nos hôtes ont tout fait pour nous faire nous faire nous sentir bien chez eux. Madame est une excellente cuisinière, nous avons mangé le meilleur rice & curry de notre séjour chez eux. Ils nous ont également conseillé un salon de massage que nous recommandons (très bon massage dos/épaule!). La famille a un chat et un chien, très gentils.

Perfect set up, great views, and great hosts an absolute pleasure
Pros:

Absolutely incredible views, with lovely spacious rooms and own little balcony to sit at and look over all the views, watching monkeys, and listening to nature. I really have to give the owners massive recognition - they went above and beyond for us making sure we are comfortable, helping us sort transport and giving us so many recommendations around Ella. Their hospitality won't be forgotten and if we were to return again someday to Ella we would definitely stay there again - it is just out of the Main Street but only a 5 minute drive which was perfect. Also their dog and cat are gorgeous - especially micky their cat she is just so lovely and friendly we loved her !!
I forgot to mention the food they cooked was lovely !

Sentirsi a casa ad Ella

Una delle strutture migliori in cui abbia soggiornato durante questo viaggio in Sri Lanka, a partire dalla camera che seppur molto semplice, risulta allo stesso tempo molto caratteristica. La nostra stanza, ampia e confortevole, si affacciava sulla vista meravigliosa di Ella, immersa nel verde. Il bagno credo sia stato recentemente ristrutturato e rimodernato perché risulta diverso rispetto alle foto (ogni tanto abbiamo trovato degli insetti/vermi ma nulla di pericoloso o grande). La colazione è abbondante e davvero molto buona, preparata dagli host e mangiata davanti a quel paesaggio incredibile. Il valore aggiunto di questa struttura sono sicuramente gli host, tutta la famiglia è stupenda (anche il loro cane e il loro gatto), perché ti fanno sentire a casa e sono di una dolcezza e di una gentilezza unica. Una sera abbiamo cenato da loro, e i piatti che ci hanno preparato sono stati tra i più buoni mangiati durante tutto il viaggio (oltre ad aver pagato davvero pochissimo). Inoltre, quella cena è stato un bel momento di condivisione e di conoscenza anche con gli altri ospiti che soggiornavano in quel momento. La struttura dista 5 minuti dal centro in tuk tuk.
Che dire? Mi dispiace solo non aver soggiornato una notte in più e non aver avuto tempo per fare la cooking class con loro.

Gevoel van thuis met heerlijk eten op een schitterende locatie!
Pros:

De mensen waren heel erg lief en behulpzaam, wij voelden ons echt thuis op deze plek. We hebben de eerste avond genoten van het heerlijke eten wat zij hadden gekookt, daarom hebben wij de laatste avond een cooking class gevolgd. We hebben hier heel veel van geleerd en we hebben wederom heerlijk gegeten. Echt een aanrader als je hier verblijft!

Es sind tolle Zimmer mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht ins grüne. Abends sieht man die Glühwürmchen und wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge.
Wir haben von anderen Reisenden gehört das der Kochkurs dort sehr gut sein soll, selber haben wir ihn nicht besucht.
Der Junge der in der Unterkunft arbeitet ist super aufmerksam & hilfsbereit ☺️

Cons:

Wirklich komischer & beißender Geruch im Badezimmer.
Die Lage ist schön aber doch etwas weiter ab vom Schuss. Fast nur mit Scooter oder Tuktuk möglich.
Wir mussten unser Zimmer was eine Nacht länger gebucht worden ist (spontan) nach 2 Nächten wechseln. Das war ein wenig mühsam.

Iets buiten Ella gelegen, daarom kan je niet even snel lopend het centrum induiken.
