Pros:

Die Zimmer sind einfach, verfügen aber über alles was man braucht. Die Zimmer weisen eine gute Grösse auf.
Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilft einem bei Fragen sehr gerne weiter.

Cons:

Die Küche war sehr einfach ausgestattet, verfügt nur über Aluminiumpfannen und Spülmittel fehlte.
Der Aussenbereich könnte mit einer Lounge oder mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten verbessert werden. Zum Zentrum ist es doch ein langer Weg.

Se puede aparcar fuera sin problema.
La cocina compartida es bastante completa.
Hay café en la mañana.

Cuando reservamos el lugar no me llegó ni un solo mensaje como normalmente cuando reservas, de bienvenida y con las indicaciones del check in.
Cuando llegamos el señor no respondió a mi mensaje hasta una hora después…. Creo que eso seria muy fácil de arreglar con un mensaje, dándote el telephone desde el principio. Reservé porque era lo único disponible en esas fechas pero no volvería…
La cantidad de mosquitos tanto dentro de la habitación como en las zonas comunes es bastante desagradable.

très sympa pour deux nuits et une beau moment de partage avec rodriguo
Pros:

Le contact avec Rodrigo, il a été adorable, le soir il nous a fait des tacos et nous avons partagé notre repas avec lui. Une superbe plage publique est à 10 minutes à pied.

Cons:

Dommage problème d'eau chaude pour la douche. Le quartier est plutôt pauvre mais sécur. Il ne faut pas avoir peur d'être réveillé par les chants des coqs et les aboiements de chien

Pros:

Las instalaciones estaban en muy buen estado, nuestra estadía fue muy buena. Rodrigo y su mujer han sido anfitriones excepcionales, siempre dispuestos a hablar, dar recomendaciones, y disponibles para solucionar cualquier cosa. La ubicación también es muy buena, una zona alejada del centro y de todos los turistas. Muy tranquila y cerca de negocios.

Cons:

Las puertas se abren y cierran solo con el uso de la llave, lo cual podría ser riesgoso en una emergencia

Pros:

Alles! Rodrigo ist ein super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er kümmert sich um jedes Anliegen und ist immer für ein gutes Gespräch offen. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Auch wenn es etwas außerhalb liegt, kann man das Zentrum mit dem Bus für 10 Pesos (0,50€) erreichen. Ebenfalls kann man bei Rodrigo auch Fahrräder preiswert leihen. Der Strand ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt und öffentlich. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche, in der wir unser Obst vom Markt aufschneiden konnten. Zusätzlich gibt es frische Kaffee und Wasser. Im Gemeinschaftskühlschrank könnt ihr gekaufte Lebensmittel oder Getränke kühlen. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig gelegen und man fühlt sich sicher. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber und super ausgestattet. Immer wieder gern!

Cons:

Als Tipp: In diesem Viertel kann man keine Alkohol kaufen. Wir haben uns ein Fahrrad von Rodrigo geliehen und sind zum nächstgelegenen Supermarkt (10min) gefahren, um dort Bier zu kaufen und es hier oder am Strand zu trinken. Oder man fährt gleich zur 5th Avenue und trinkt dort.

Enjoyable stay, would recommend.
Pros:

Clean, comfortable, good aircon, hot shower.
He is so friendly and happy and wants to make your stay there as good as possible.
Has coffee, tea and drinking water outside the room for all guests and a large fridge if needed. So good knowing you have good drinking water in case needed. And they have a kitchen downstairs that we didn't use, so many good restaurants in Playa del Carmen.
No mosquito bites whilst there as they can't get into the room.
Perfect location for the better and less tourist beaches. However it is a good walk from town/bus station, so would only recommend if you enjoy walking/cycling or willing to take a taxi.
We enjoyed walking and we preferred the better beaches which are closer to this location so it was perfect for us.
Would definitely stay again, and hopefully for longer! Would recommend ☺️

Perfect value for money – especially if you plan to stay longer than a couple of nights!
Pros:

Perfect if you don't expect luxury! This is not a conventional hotel, but better – for those that travel on a budget and plan to stay for more than a couple of nights!

* The 'host' is very helpful and kind, and *might* serve you breakfast – even though it's not included.
* Fridge in both 1st and 2nd floor, kitchen that all can use, with everything you need for cooking – including micro wave oven.
* Lots of places to sit (tables and chairs), both indoors and in the backyard.
* In the bathroom, water pressure and water temperature is excellent!
* 5 minutes walk to the beach.
* Good WiFi-connection and speed. TV connected to WiFi – with apps such as Prime Video.
* Nice backyard which function as a social zone.

Cons:

The shared areas, included fridges, could be cleaned better. A few too many WiFi "options" – which is the better endpoint(s) to connect to can take some time to figure out.

Pros:

Great host, location close to best local beach in Playa del Carmen. Public bus stop nearby makes it easy to get to the centre of town and ferry terminals etc.

Cons:

Room had no windows so there was little ventilation and felt quite damp (the room has fan and AC though).

The owner, Rodrigo greeted me upon my arrival and made me feel welcome immediately. Located in a Mexican neighboorhood,
Pros:

The no frills room with; tv, closet, desk & chairs, comfortable hammock chair and private shower was extremely clean! The owner cleans and changes bedding every 3-days. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee station in the hallway with fresh coffee or tea provided in the mornings. Shared kitchen very clean and organized. I enjoyed eating breakfast or drinking coffee in the morning with Rodrigo and meeting other guests from all over the world.

Exceptional
Pros:

Rodrigo has to be the friendliest host in Mexico. The place is very clean and there is a fridge, kitchen and drinking water you can use. Also in a perfect location to visit the beach and quiet at night. There are a lot of small restaurants close by, which were nicer and a lot cheaper than in the center. We felt very welcome, thank you for everything!
