Green Village

Clean, amazing views. The breakfast was superb with variety and plenty to eat. The staff are helpful. Would recommend

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Green Village. Nous y sommes restés 3 nuits mais nous aurions adoré rester plus longtemps. La vue est à couper de souffle et les hôtes étaient très attentionnés.
Nous avions une chambre pour 4, les lits étaient très confortables, la chambre était spacieuse, lumineuse et propre. La salle de bain restait basique mais ça nous convenait.
Le petit déjeuner était très bon et copieux et ils n'hésitaient pas à nous demander pour nous resservir si on avait encore faim.
Nous avons également adoré l'emplacement et c'est une des raisons pour laquelle nous avions choisi cet établissement. C'est à 5 min à pied seulement de la route principale avec bars et restaurants et pourtant nous nous sentions en pleine nature au milieu des singes, oiseaux et écureuils.

It was one of our best stay in Sri Lanka. Clean and comfortable room with amazing view on Ella Rock, delicious breakfast and very nice and friendly hosts. As we checked out very early in the morning, the host prepared a packed breakfast for us. Thank you 😊

Çalışan bayan o kadar nazik birisi ki anlatamam. Otel biraz dik bir yokuşta ama tuktuk ile gelip valizlerimizi aldılar ve odamıza götürdüler. Kahvaltıları gayet güzeldi. Balkon manzaraları bir harikaydı. Hiç bu kadar kibar ve nazik çalışanları görmemiştim. Konumu da yokuştan sonra her yere yürüme mesafesinde.

Very friendly staff. They help you with the luggage as there is quite a steep hill. Breakfast fresh fruits and pancakes, it is very good!
Fridge in the rooms and nice view. It is located 5-10 min walk from the main road. The small street is really dark, but felt safe.

The triple room we had on the top floor was lovely with the amazing view over the beautiful countryside. A very peaceful location only a short walk to the main streets for restaurants. Our breakfasts were delicious with large portions. Our hosts were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

the view is absolutely breathtaking, you can watch the whole view of Yala Rock, there are many birds and animal around the
balcony, the night sky is full or stars and firefly.

The view from the property was beautiful, and the location is very convenient as it is close to Ella town. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and they served breakfast at the time we requested for an additional charge. The room was spacious and having a fridge inside was a nice convenience. Breakfast was ok.

We received a warm welcome at Green Village. Room was very large, comfortable & well equipped & furnished. Property is in a stunning location, quiet with amazing views but only a couple of minutes walk into the centre of Ella. Breakfast was very tasty with generous portions. There is a steep climb down to the property via a path but the owners met us at the top & took our luggage in a tuk tuk for us. When we left they transported our luggage to the train station about 500m away which we were very grateful for. Communication with the owners prior to our stay was good.

Green Village was one of the best places we stayed during our trip to Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm smiles and incredible hospitality. They were always happy to help and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable and memorable stay.

The highlight of this homestay is undoubtedly the view. Waking up to the panoramic view of Ella Rock and the surrounding lush green hills was simply magical. We spent hours relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the cool mountain breeze and the peaceful surroundings. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Ella. We saw lots of fireflies; maybe it's been 30 years since my childhood when I last saw them. My kids enjoyed the night sky, watching the stars and constellations, which are impossible to see from a city sky. We really enjoyed the night breeze.

Although it's only a short walk from the town, the property feels wonderfully quiet and secluded, offering the best of both worlds—easy access to restaurants and attractions while still enjoying complete tranquility.

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, and breakfast was fresh, delicious, and served with an unforgettable view. Every detail reflected the care and kindness of the host family.

If you're looking for a homestay with spectacular scenery, genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere, Green Village is an easy 5-star choice. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ella!
