I booked this place for two nights based on good reviews. The hostess was communicating with me via WhatsApp before and the morning we arrived. We dropped off our luggage before checkin. When it came time to checkin she told us that we actually couldn’t stay because the person in our room wasn’t leaving because they were sick and there were no more rooms. She said not to worry as she was putting us in another “better “ hotel instead. The place she put us in is called “Hanu’s House”. It was disgusting and I would never have chosen to book that place. She said that she would even let us pay the same rate like she was doing us a favour except the place she put us in we found out later was cheaper. Honestly so disappointing, just look up the reviews of the other accommodation. This will probably get removed because we werent able to stay here and she canceled our booking.

Pros:

If you’re looking for a place in the Old Quarter, look no further! The rooms are great, but the service is even better. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We also really appreciated that they let us leave our bags at the hotel while we went on a side trip. It made our travel so much easier. Will definitely come back!

Right in Old quarter, great value for your money, very friendly owner, allowed us to leave our luggage until 9 PM and have a shower downstairs before taking a night bus

Pros:

住了一次正宗的越式神秘房间，适合喜欢幽静深邃的人。。。这次对我来说是一次很奇特的经历，其实我这次不够仔细，旅店名字就叫central alley，到达的时候我非常非常失望，在一条很深很深的小巷子最深处，而且是一条死路，我可以说，如果女生看到一定会被吓到。这个地点在中国风水学里面是负面的。我等了女店主十分钟，她前面走开了，她告诉我这里没有电梯，说带我去另外一栋房子，我想那也挺好的。换到了一个热闹的街面房子，居然在一个叫LAM的咖啡铺子里面，我带了一只28寸的大箱子，女店主帮我一起抬到二楼，因为也没有电梯，我当时就懵了，我想，算了，就一晚，明天就走。这个房间不开灯的话，很黑，是个长方形的房间，而且有前后门，这就是典型的民宿造型，我认为非常有越南特色，在中国民宅风水学中，这种房子叫暗间，因为是看不到阳光的，然而，它刚开始给我的印象并不怎么样，而且当时我觉得这个房间不值这个价，然而，等我静下来之后，开了空调，仔细打量了这个房间后，发现它其实非常的井井有条，而且朴素中带着一丝艺术气息，床头还挂着三顶不同色彩的越式民族尖顶帽，这种帽子和中国古代最后一个满清王朝的帽子款式一模一样，着太奇怪了，一个在中国东北，一个在中国西南。我想，可能会有全世界的旅客看到我这个评论，所以顺便说一句，现在或者过去出现在你们教科书里面的，留着辫子的古代中国男子是大中华里面的少数民族：满族，他们的发源地在中国东北那一块，和北韩接壤。而中国古代的多数民族是汉族，汉族是从来不留辫子的，他们古代都生活在中国中部，东，东南，南部。整个朝鲜半岛古代官民的着装就很像我们汉族。所以，1900年前后，中国最后一个满清政权通过两百多年残忍暴力手段夺取中国控制权是事实，他们使整个中国在1860年-1910年阶段，对外形象上遭受了极其严重的耻辱，而且导致中国后续的贫弱，在二战期间被邻国降维侵略，那时中国军民非常危险，只有血肉之躯，连像样的重武器也没有几个，战死了3500万军民，在美苏的一起努力下，才赢得了最终胜利。好在现在，中国人民又重新站起来了。
言归正传，那间房间比较干净，有个舒服的沙发和茶几，床也很舒服，软绵绵的，被子好像有点味道，我感觉像是一种越南特有的香，但又不像是香水的味道，床边点着电蚊香，难道是电蚊香？？我不知道。。。房间非常的安静，因为它的位置在马路的反面，另外，我喜欢黑暗环境，但不是那种伸手不见五指的黑暗，那太可怕了，我喜欢在黑暗里思考人生和各种事情，我会很清醒，思考迅速。另外，房间里的灯罩其实房主是用过心思的，这需要旅客仔细观察。那一晚，我睡的很好，后门和后窗可以反锁，不要害怕。后门打开后应该是逃生通道，可以上楼或下楼，我已经看过了。厕所连着浴室也比较干净，不再赘述了。空调非常听话给力，我喜欢听话的设备。小冰箱很讨厌都是噪音。满意的地方说完了。

Cons:

1.没有电梯。
2.女店主在跟我交流，处理住宿问题方面没有给足我安全感，但我想她也没有办法，硬件在那里明摆着。这楼根本无法加装电梯。
3.晚于晚上11点后，再进咖啡铺子上楼会非常麻烦，我不想再说了，太啰嗦了，外面是卷帘门，自己想想吧。
就事论事，单就这间房间住宿体验至少我满意，我要求并不高。
4.价格有点贵，23美元在中国可以住到非常标准的经济酒店，还有电梯。
在河内的三天，让我觉得越南物价真的不算便宜，有的比中国还贵，这可能是针对外国人的吧。

Pros:

Amazing place to stay within central. Spacious room. Kitchen fridge towels, shampoo flip flops included.

Nu was super helpful with all the tours and very responsive. Her prices were the best around and exchange rate too. Laundry facilities.

Very central, but not nosey at all remarkable. Was able to sleep without ear plugs.

Comfy bed. Fast WiFi. Everything was perfect!
