The location is shocking
It is in a maize of dirt roads that you can hardly drive on. It is false advertising. My advice is don't go there!!
Also, when asked for a partial or full refund, they said they would pay it in good faith, and then refused even after they knew I had cancer and little money ,and had to find alternative accommodation in Sun City because their was no air-conditioning and was the place was a shared house with the owner and other people!!,which was not advertised on booking .com.
I found the place and the owners a complete disappointment, and I strongly advise Booking.com.to investigate the premises and location before allowing such places to be advertised on their website!
The credit given by Booking.com was 190 rand, when we lost almost 7000 rand for the one night!! Shocking!!

Cons:

Dirty dishes in the sink on arrival. Totally disgusting. Uncomfortable beds. Not very clean and the location is not great. Staff member was rude. I booked a Family room with 2 double beds, a room with 2 single beds and a room with one double bed and paid R2545 for 3 rooms however we got put into 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds for 3 adult males to sleep on. Unacceptable because what we booked is not what we got and the lady was still rude to the guys on arrival. Booking.com should really consider inspecting these places as the pictures are far from what is happening at these places.

Horrible, very scary and traumatic.... I won't recommend it even to my enemies.
Pros:

There was no breakfast, location was not safe.
There room was clean. We didn't even get sugar and tea.

Cons:

There were people making noise the whole night until 6am and those people were also shooting with gun.... I was extremely scared with the kids and kept on tracking my car, I wasn't given the key for the room so it was difficult sleep when the door is not locked and gun shots happening outside. I have never been so traumatized and scared for my life like that.

It was sad that it was mot mentioned that this guest house was in a black village.It was so scary that my wife refused to stay in this guest house.Very misleading advert.the pictures on the web shows a different picture from what you actually see.

Cons:

The location .I am if Indian origin and not 7sed yo stay in these kind of areas.Fell very unsafe

Granchis Guesthouse
Pros:

I liked the fans in the room which helped alot. The staff members were also readily available.

Cons:

One of the rooms I was staying in had a toilet that was leaking. I was moved to another room due to the leaking toilet. The gravel road to the guest house is horrendous and not easy to navigate with a car. You will definitely need a bakkie to travel to that guesthouse. Our toilets had no spray or toilet paper when we got there.

Pros:

It was in a safe area, and the neighborhood was a good and remote area for our convenience. The antique furniture is pretty good, and it needs to be cleaned. The water was hot the way we like it.

Cons:

The petunia 1 room needs painting, the toilet was smelling, and I reported it, and they tried to do something, but it was still smelling. The ceiling needs to be fixed as it was like it's gonna fall, they need to change the tiles. And the whole area was revamped.

The family room's bathroom shower was out in the open and the water was spilling out of the tub. When we first got into the family room it smelled weird, plus the water pressure is very bad. There were huge cockroaches and some in the family room. What we saw in the picture didn't look the same as how we saw it in the pictures.

They need to replace the beds as they make a whole lot of noise.
