The atmosphere was very peaceful, the couple or staff very obliging and very hospitable, the locals all very friendly. A wonderful experience. Breakfast was very generous. Ideal for trekking or just enjoying the peace and quiet.Rural life was going on with ladies planting rice on the property. Wonderful to see that being done so close. And close up insight into production of indigo for dyeing and batik.
All very good
It’s nice to get out of Sa Pa town and into a village. It’s far away from everything and gets you into nature. Very easy to hike from the accommodation. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was fresh and yummy.
Unfortunately there is a news broadcast that starts at 6am which woke me up and takes away from the serenity but ear plugs or being a heavy sleeper handles that problem. There also are still tons of locals trying to sell you items which I thought we could escape by being away from the town.
Located in a nice location inside a local village, surrounded by mountains, a waterfall and on the way to a trekking path which was very impressive. We were happy it was away from tourist trap so we could really walk around and not bump into any biz dragging us to buy stuff. The room is basic but all you need for a short stay
Fans should be maintained and kept clean better.
The only thing which was inconvenient that every morning we had to go search for the host asking for breakfast as she was not really active on phone. Maybe during our staying time, her family had an event.
Misses Zu and her husband were such fantastic hosts ; so lovely kind and attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay with them was comfortable and enjoyable.
This property is set in the most beautiful part of the valley! The bungalow feels quiet and peaceful - and it is a delight to wake up and have breakfast looking at the valley and listening to the river. The rooms are simply but tastefully decorated in the local style - and the hot shower was a welcome surprise! The hostess was incredibly welcoming - she was responsive to our every ask, cooked fabulous meals for breakfast/dinner, and was easy to chat to for recommendations and advice about the area. We miss her already!
Not specifically about the property, but for Sapa in general the local women selling items can be pushy and intimidating which can put a real damper on the experience. Because everyone seems to know everyone or be related they do sometimes stalk you into the property, but a firm but polite ‘no shopping’ makes them stop.
