I was travelling with my family and we had a wonderful stay at Sceva’s Garden Home. Right from the time of booking, Benny stayed in touch and checked if we needed any assistance during our travel. Through him, we were also able to book a very comfortable houseboat experience in Alleppey, which added so much value to our trip.

There was a hartal on the day we arrived, and although we reached earlier than the scheduled check‑in time, Benny made sure our rooms were prepared quickly. He also gave us a very informative overview of all the things to do in the area, which helped us plan our time well. The homestay is located on a hill, offering stunning views of the mountains right in front of the property. The wooden rooms were exceptional—cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained.

Because most restaurants were closed due to the hartal, Benny and his family generously served us a complimentary dinner, which was both thoughtful and delicious. The breakfast included with the stay was also very tasty and prepared with great care, making our mornings feel warm and homely. Benny arranged a reliable taxi service as well, which made it easy for us to explore the major attractions nearby.

One of the highlights of our stay was the fruit and vegetable garden that Benny and his family maintain with great dedication. We were served some of these fresh ingredients during our meals, which made the experience feel even more personal. Throughout our stay, Benny and his family made us feel like we were visiting relatives rather than staying at a homestay.

The location is peaceful, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to relax while enjoying beautiful mountain views.

Overall, it was a truly memorable stay, and I would highly recommend Sceva’s Garden Home to anyone visiting the area.

Unser Aufenthalt in Scevas garten home war insgesamt sehr schön. Was die Distanz zu Munnar angeht: In Munnar selbst sollte man nicht wohnen, es ist sehr hektisch und wir haben bei 2 Besuchen dort keine annähernd so schön und ruhig gelegene Unterkunft gesehen.
Was den Gastgeber Benny angeht:
Er ist sehr hilfreich einem Tips zu geben und Fahrten zu organisieren. Für introvertierte Gäste wie uns, kann seine allzeitige Präsenz manchmal ein wenig zu viel sein. Dies ist kein Vorwurf, sondern einfach unser Eindruck. Die empfohlen Bezahlapp hat uns leider keinerlei Vorteile gebracht

This property has genuinely the most beautiful view from a place I’ve ever stayed- the location of the home is next to none. This does mean that restaurants and other amenities aren’t as accessible as in other areas (a short tuk tuk), but that didn’t bother me at all & seemed like a very small trade off for being in the hills with such a great view. Benny was kind enough to show us around his spice garden too which added to how serene the place is. Sheeja is a wonderful cook and it was a joy having breakfast there. The whole family were really welcoming and it was a pleasure staying with them. I hope to stay again some day.

Fabulous location with incredible views of hills and trees. A beautiful pool. The climate in the hills is so comfortable, not humid at all. We were upgraded before our arrival to a very large room with a king size bed and slept so well. Benny and his lovely family hosted us superbly. The driver he arranged to meet us at Cochin Airport and later to drive us to Varkala was excellent. The home cooked Indian breakfast is a treat. Benny loves his trees and plants and gave us a tour of all the plants and their uses which everyone enjoyed. We were very sorry to leave and would definitely want to return.

We had the most wonderful stay at Benny and Sheeja’s. They welcomed us so warmly, were generous with their time and knowledge, every need was attended to so promptly. The property is in a peaceful location with the most beautiful garden full of organically grown fruits, vegetables and spices (which Benny gave us an insightful tour of). Benny has a great knowledge of the area, so many recommendations, great connections and helped us with all our activities and transport (during our stay and beyond). The room was spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed we’ve had on our trip. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the mountains and garden watching the birds and butterflies was so special. Sheeja’s incredible cooking was one of the highlights of the stay, we looked forward to every meal! We couldn’t be more grateful!

We had a fantastic stay at Benny & his families beautiful home. After travelling from Northern India we welcomed the peaceful nature and relaxation.
Benny & his family went above and beyond to help us with activities, transfers, and places for food. One of our party had tummy issues during our stay and Benny and his wife made some natural drinks using ingredients from their beautiful garden to help him.
We definitely recommend you to stay here on your trip. We couldn't have asked for better hosts and will definitely stay here again on our next visit. Thank you so much Benny and family, it was a pleasure staying with you!

Benny helped us organise dinner which was much appreciated - we had a lovely takeaway on their balcony. It's a very peaceful place to stay and I hope to go back one day.

Sceva's was a beautiful homestay! We loved the garden and delicious breakfast. Benny and his family were very kind, accommodating, communicative, and it felt like home. Of all the places we stayed Sceva’s felt like being welcomed into a family home. We had delicious breakfasts and one superb dinner. Benny was a terrific help in finding our way around. The setting is a quiet secluded spot looking out at the mountains.

Die Zeit bei Benny und seiner Familie im Homestay war eine der besten in Indien. Er hat uns nicht nur in den Nächten die wir bei ihm verbracht haben geholfen, sondern auch unseren Transport in der gesamten Zeit in Kerala organisiert. Damit hatten wir wenig Stress und es waren vernünftige Preise. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall die Sehenswürdigkeit die Benny in der Region um Munnar empfehlen kann zu besichtigen. Er versucht euch abseits von den Pfaden der meisten Touristen zu leiten.
Das Homestay ist extrem sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten und alles drum herum ist selbst angelegt und in Stand gehalten. Das Essen das sie anbieten ist unfassbar lecker und authentisch. Vieles davon auch aus dem eigene Anbau solange es die Saison zu lässt.

The host, Benny, was very kind and resourceful. We booked a 3 night stay and upon our inquiry he quickly arranged for us a great driver, Biju, to bring us from Madurai and accompanied us for 4 days. Benny gave us a great overview of the area. All his suggestions for sites, local hiking guide and home cooking class were really great.
Sceva's Garden home is a real home stay with Benny's family. Their property is practically at the edge of a jungle, with beautiful morning misty views and many spice plants surrounding the house. Highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful stay here. Benny and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming, and his wife prepared a beautiful breakfast. The views from the balcony were stunning, and the room was super cosy. Benny also helped organise a private driver, which made a huge difference as it was a long drive from the airport and I had limited time to explore the surrounds. Amazing hospitality all around!
