Managed by a private host
Bushalte vlakbij, Kelvingrove Museum vlakbij. Naar centrum lopen kost ongeveer halfuurtje.
The property in itself was okay. The location was relatively decent. City center was within about 30 minutes of walking. The room was okay sized and the bed comfortable
Everything was going great up until the evening before my last night—the place was nice, and the owner seemed chill and easygoing. Before checking in, I was asked to review the house rules and confirm I would comply. I carefully read everything available on Booking.com, including property policies and descriptions, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, so I confirmed with the owner.
However, once I arrived, I noticed several rules that weren’t mentioned anywhere online. Still, I didn’t make a fuss and went along with it, thinking it wasn’t a big deal. Then, on the evening of the second day, I was suddenly told I had violated three rules. The owner was furious, though we didn’t speak in person—just an email saying she would report me for misconduct.
The next morning, after double-checking Booking.com to ensure I hadn’t overlooked any rules, I approached the owner to explain that the real issue seemed to be a lack of clarity on Booking.com’s listing, not intentional wrongdoing on my part. Despite me being calm and respectful, the owner completely lost their temper—shouting and demanding I leave immediately. I said what I needed to say to her and even offered to go through my booking.com reservation through my phone to have her check for the rules by herself in order to convince her. Since she chose to ignore me I simply left as I was asked.
I got welcomed extremely well. Excellent value for money. I would give more than happy if I could, got my breakfast even tho it wasn't included in the price. The women was brilliant, had a really nice stay n ill be using it everytime I go to Glasgow twice a year.
I didnt like anything. Really I'd give more than 10 if it was possible, 👌
Very clean, quiet and comfortable accomodation at a great location near the Kelvingrove gallery. If you don't mind the house rules (I didn't) then you won't find better value. This was perfect for a few days solo stay to explore the city.
Nothing.
I liked the easy access to West End Amenities, as well as the overall environment of the flat.
Surprisingly large room and comfortable bed in the Finnieston area of Glasgow, very close to Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum
Location is great and Anastasia was friendly and very helpful for advise traveling in Scotland
Wonderful stay with Anastasia and her lovely pets. One of those you don't forget.
Anastasia was a wonderful and inviting host who has a lovely home. She was extremely friendly and also respected personal space. She gave me lots of great information about Scotland, including information and places to go camping and to explore.
She also has two large dogs, who are friendly teddy bears, a lovely cat, and of course Pistachio the Tortoise.
The shower was also superb! Lovely spot and was a great way to start my trip.
This is a home with pets. This is not a negative for me. They are all lovely, tame, and friendly, but if that is not your thing you should just be aware of that.
No complaints, had a lovely time!
Staying with Anastasia and her pets was honestly the greatest highlight for my trip to Glasgow! I have enjoyed their comapny so much, it made my time absolutely unique.
Anastasia has a beautiful, cozy home in a lovely area. You can have great conversations and laughter with her or, if you prefer privacy, that will be totally respected as well.
The public transport connections from the City center to her place are great and easy (Google Maps is your friend ;)) but I‘d recommend a nice walk along the river, too.
If you can, book a stay with Anastasia, I‘m sure you won‘t regret it!
best place to stay, look no further
the lady of the house was so helpful and gave me so much knowledge about glasgow
the road sinage
Anatasia made me breakfast the morning I left, which was very nice.
There was some rigidity in the time I got there, but it was understandable because the dogs needed to be walked. On the whole I enjoyed Anastasia and the dogs and cat
A good location owner was helpful welcoming and friendly. Except when I inadvertently had a shower without asking. Fortunately I could not understand an outpouring of Scottish anger. Telling me once and me apologising should have been enough.
Unfortunately I was badly affected by the cigarette smoke and allergic effects of two very large dogs fed and often present immediately outside my room , a cat and a turtle the latter bedded in my room. I needed high dose antihistamines and asthma medicine. If I had known the owner was a smoker I would not have booked. Overall the flat smelt of animals and tobacco and the entrance lobby was very run down and depressing.
