Pros:

Roof top breakfast.
Character of the property.

Cons:

This was a homestay but it wasn't clear to us when booking it. We arrived exhausted just wanting to relax in our room but were quizzed etc for ages in the lobby before being allowed in. As a homestay it felt awkward to know what was expected of us.
Attentive until we paid then switched off from us totally which contradicted what they'd said before.
Expensive in comparison with other places. .

Das war wirklich ein ganz wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Ich bin angekommen und wurde indisch willkommen geheißen.
Ich habe ein kostenloses Upgrade für ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und FortBlick erhalten.
Das Zimmer ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünscht: Ventilator, Aicon, Pflegeprodukte, Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee, sogar Bademantel!
Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Für mich war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und ich würde jederzeit wieder hier wohnen! Zumal die Lage in der Altstadt perfekt ist!

Book this before it’s too late! It will be the highlight of your trip
Pros:

Beautiful home stay run by a multi generational family. Great breakfast on the rooftop with a view of the fort. It was our favorite stay in India. We also used their recommended guide who took us on a great full day tour of the city. Highly recommend!

Cons:

That we didn’t stay longer!

Warm lovely stay in a great location with a great host
Pros:

Suraj haveli is the perfect combination of the comfort of a hotel with the warmth of a home stay! Ajay and his family were so warm and welcoming during our stay. Ajay shared many local recommendations for restaurants and helped arrange transport to the airport. The Suraj haveli is also perfectly located in the old town so close to everything! During my stay I was unwell and ajay and his family were so helpful bringing me food and water. Next time i am in Jodhpur I will stay there again!

Nice homely stay.
Pros:

I liked the homestay. The people who were managing the homestay were fantastic. They even helped us at the time of distress. The homestay owner stays in the same house and he and his family really helps all the guests to have a comfortable stay. They also guide the guests with all the places to visit. The breakfast was also quite heavy. The fort view from terrace was next level. Our room also had a view of the fort.

Cons:

What we did not like was not related to the homestay. The homestay as such is great. The narrow road that leads to the homestay was quite unhygienic with all the garbage strewn over the road. At times there were sewage water flowing over the road which was unavoidable to cross the street. I hope the city municipality takes care of the hygiene factor in future.

Pros:

The location is absolutely unbeatable! We stayed in a room with a balcony and enjoyed the most stunning view of the fort.
The room itself was beautifully designed, full of thoughtful touches like indirect lighting and elegant decorations that made it feel so cozy and special.
The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing fantastic recommendations for dinner in the old town. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Pros:

Établissement bien situé, au calme. Vue sympa depuis le rooftop. Des efforts notables dans l’accueil. Un bon matelas… Tout ça ne suffit pas à justifier le tarif

Cons:

Abords peu engageants. « Terrasse » non utilisable, propreté douteuse (nous avons dû demander à changer les draps, entre autres). Petit dejeuner minimal sans imagination. Sous couvert d’un esprit « home stay », une impression persistante qu’il ne s’agit que d’un argument marketing pour exploiter un filon qui, à ce tarif, est sans doute juteux. D’où vient ce décalage entre les commentaires élogieux, les photos flatteuses et la réalité, nettement moins idyllique ?

A wonderful stay with a fantastic family
Pros:

Fantastic and friendly staff/family! As a female solo traveler, this was especially comforting. AJ in particular provided great tips and recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area, and everyone made it feel like a home.

Cons:

As mentioned in the room info, it was harder to find on maps/autos can’t reach it but they’ve put very helpful signs with arrows up to make navigating the narrow streets easier!

A wonderful 4 day stay in Jodhpur's historic blue city 💙
Pros:

The rooftop breakfast was phenomenal! The entire family was so generous, kind and hospitable. I was unwell the morning I was meant to depart and AJ arranged for an extra night, rescheduling of my taxi and a hospital visit. I can't thank him enough. You will not meet better people in your travels.

Cons:

I had some minor hiccups, but everything was rectified promptly and to my satisfaction.

A home stay with a very lovely and welcoming family.
Pros:

Warm family atmosphere in which I was made very welcome. The room was clean and spacious and well provided for. The roof terrace was comfortable with excellent views of the fort, a great place for breakfast, but also for contemplating early evening. The owners were also very helpful in organising guided tours and transport.
