Madhav Mansion Beach Resort

I recently stayed at Madhav Mansion Beach Resort for two days, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was quite spacious, offering plenty of comfort, and the washroom was impeccably clean, which made the stay even more pleasant.

One of the biggest advantages of this property is its excellent location—it’s just a 2-minute walk from Varkala Cliff and the beach much to my liking, making it extremely convenient for exploring the area.

The overall atmosphere of the resort was calm and peaceful, with quiet surroundings that allowed for a truly relaxing stay. Additionally, breakfast was provided, which was a nice and convenient touch. The breakfast was not lavish but basic and local Kerela cuisine was provided, which I liked.

Overall, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Varkala.

We had a great stay at Madhav Mansion Beach Resort, the Odayam cliff was very near and the city area was also accessible. The caretaker Vijayan was extremely helpful with any and all needs we had. Would recommend this place to anyone who comes to visit Varkala.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Madhav Mansion beach resort. Sajeev and Vijay really treated me like an honoured guest and were very accommodating and friendly from the beginning to the very end of my stay, I am very thankful to them 🙏The location is very nice and calm a bit far from the more touristic side of Varkala. There is a temple nearby and the beach is at a walking distance. You can also find some restaurants nearby. The breakfast provided was very nice homemade traditional South Indian breakfast. The hotel is also equipped with a washing machine which is very helpful for travellers going to multiple places. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel ⭐️

We had a wonderful stay! The owner is extremely friendly, supportive, and went above and beyond to make our trip smooth and memorable. From the moment we arrived, he was always available to guide us—whether it was about where to eat, places to visit, or how to get around.

He even helped us get discounts for a mangrove forest visit and arranged a vehicle for local travel. If you're ever in doubt or need help with anything during your stay, just contact him directly—he's genuinely there to assist.

The wellcoming from Sajeev and Vijayan was fantastic. We had access to all of the amenities in the house and they provided us with great advice to really enjoy our stay in Varkala. Sharing breakfast with them was great time to talk and learn a bit more about the place and ways to reach our next destination. The level of service was outstanding and they really cared for us during our stay in Madhav Mansion. We would highly recommend it! Sajeev (the owner) was very friendly and welcoming, ready to provide any information. A good beach was just 7 min walk.

The room was good, and the position is perfect. You can see the ocean and heard the waves.
The staff is carefull and their indian breakfast is very traditional and made with love.

It's nice to stay,very calm atmosphere and near and walkable distance to view beautiful view of beaches and sea shores.

Ensure to stay with out any any worries

Owner Sajeev and caretaker Vijayan looked after us really well during our stay. The location is fantastic - it's outside Varkala which is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds but bear the beach. There was a quiet beach nearby which we had almost to ourselves at times. Swimming in the sea as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our trip to India.
The room was a good size with air con and a fan. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace. There is also a washing machine for guests which was really helpful for us as we are backpacking.
We were lucky enough to have visited during a Hindu festival and saw plenty of free entertainment at the temple next door. Varkala is only a short tuktuk ride away and has all sorts of different restaurants and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Good value for money as the stay was very close to the beach. Sajeev, who is the owner of the property is a very helpful and polite person. He helped us with all the queries and also helped us get scooters and taxis.

Breakfast provided was also really nice and they provided multiple options for breakfast.

The beach is just 5 mins walk from the property and it also offers amazing cliff views as well. Very quiet and peaceful stay.

For the price, the property is very good value, just do not expect luxury. The room, bedding, linen etc was clean. Hot water readily available (though it took us some time to work out the right switch), AC mostly working, comfy bed. Lock box, kettle and tea in the room, fridge and kitchen available for guests, even a washing machine with detergent provided. Sajeev and Vijay keen to help (just be very specific in what you want, I was happy with boiled eggs and toast for breakfast!) they will book tuk-tuks and taxis for you. Cliff top just 2 minute walk away, Beach and restaurants about 10 minute stroll, superb beach about 20/30 minute walk North, take a torch/mobile light for evenings.

Great wifi, air con and hot water. Quiet and yet only a few minutes to the beach.Owner had breakfast with us and sorted any issues or needs First impression not so good but soon overcome by excellent facilities at this price!
