Beautiful location and staff + breakfast was amazing

This is a beautiful location right on the lake. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the view. The food was delicious. Gamini drove us around when he could to show the sites of the area.

Das war die beste Buchung, die ich je auf Booking gemacht habe. Die Hosts sind so freundlich und das Homestay einfach unglaublich schön.

Spacious room, perfect cleanliness, lovely food and the wind over the lake, just as the name says, glorious to feel. We had been a little too warm the preceding days, the wind was a delight. Just like the view over the lake from the breakfast tree house. Gamini was efficient helpfulness itself in organising our plans, including the complex things, like taking 2 Jeeps of local students into Minneriya. Easy access to the park, town, dance performance at the Cultural Centre, and Ritigala Park. (And for Aussies etc who don't know, a large double bed in Sri Lanka is our King size.)

Ubytovali jsme se ve 3 pokojích, celkem 5 osob.
Byli jsme velmi spokojeni ve všech směrech. Majitelé byli velmi milí a ochotní.
Nabízeli servírovat jídlo buď ve venkovní jídelně nebo na pěkné netradiční vyhlídce s výhledem na jezero.
Porce jídla byly velké a jídlo kvalitní.
Pokoje čisté a prostorné s čistou voňavou koupelnou.

Nice walk to town (about 1.9km) via a country lane beside the lake.

V tomto ubytování jsem byla maximálně spokojená. Všechno bylo dokonale čisté, prostorné a žádný hmyz. Majitelé jsou neuvěřitelně vstřícní, milí a pohostinní lidé, kteří se o nás skvěle starali po celou dobu pobytu. Chtěla bych napsat i nějakou konstruktivní kritiku, aby byla recenze vyvážená, ale upřímně mě nenapadá vůbec nic, co by se dalo vytknout. Vše bylo perfektní. Určitě doporučuji! S majitelem se za dobré peníze dá domluvit na tuktuk, výlety a zprostředkování safary se slony. Okolí je kouzelné. Každý má vlastní terasu s výhledem na jezero, které je výborné pro milovníky ptáků. A ve společné venkovní kuchyňce (lednička, varná konvice, umyvadlo) je neustále k dispozici pitná voda.

Fridfull miljö. Bekväma, stora, rena rum. Trevliga ägare. Fint med naturen runt om.

The nicest place I have stayed in Sri Lanka. The room (chalet) and the surrounding garden was put together with so much love and attention to detail. The food was way beyond my expectations.

The hosts were wonderful, so kind and helpful, they really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely getting to eat with a beautiful view of the lake. Great value for money and good location. Would definitely recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!

The host was very welcoming, helping me arrange a safari in hurulu eco park. The room is clean and facilities are functional. The accommodation is located at lakeside. You can have breakfast while admiring the view.

The property owner and family were exceptional and went above and beyond to provide a holistic experience of the stay and tour around.

Fantastische Unterkunft sehr schön an einem See gelegen. Alles top gepflegt und sauber, mit sehr bequemen Betten. Die Gastgeber sind zuvorkommend und es gibt sehr leckeres Essen. Das inbegriffene Frühstück erfüllt alle Wünsche. Dieser Ort zählt zu den besten wo ich in Sri Lanka übernachtet habe. Vielen Dank für die angenehme Zeit.

Non ci sono parole per descrivere la gentilezza e l’accoglienza di Demini e della sua adorabile moglie. Mi hanno fatto sentire come a casa! La colazione è ottima e abbondante e anche la cena è stata squisita. Si può mangiare guardando il lago, tra i rumori della natura e la sera c’è un tramonto fantastico. Gli alloggi sono confortevoli e puliti, insomma tutto perfetto!

The location is beautiful—surrounded by trees and right in front of a lake, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The location of this property is absolutely stunning... You can hear flocks and flocks of birds calling on the lake as the sun begins to rise. The family of this homestay was incredibly accomodating, setting us up with everything we needed. Fantastic and filling breakfast/dinner. Organised safari guides for us and was also available to transport us via Tuktuk to close locations. Simply incredible, and the neighbourhood this property is located in is totally worth exploring - lots of different birds and animals to run into. If I have the opportunity, I will come back to stay one day.
