Perfect little home in a quaint village
Pros:

What a beautiful property in a perfect location, with a great friendly and helpful owner.
Monschaus Altstadt is a little hidden wonder, where you can wander safely and see it all in no time, making for a relaxing stay.
We were met on arrival, shown round the property and to our room. There is a host of bits, snacks and drinks available, all paid for by leaving money in the trust boxes. The rooms and home was clean, beds were comfortable, shower powerful, all just lovely. There was a little noise from other rooms just because though it is an ok heritage property so you can’t expect soundproofing, it just depends on the guests at the time, we were quiet, others weren’t. Sasha did though have ear plugs available in the room!! Also, there were chocolates, and wine, a nice touch. If driving back through the area, we’d have no hesitation in rebooking. Just loved it.

Nothing not to like. Perfect.

Zeer fijne gastheer, duidelijke uitleg bij aankomst, fantastisch systeem met het vertrouwenskastje op de kamer om de toeristentaks en ontbijt te betalen. Ontbijt was overigens ook voortreffelijk! Locatie was geweldig, het was super proper en rustig. Heel wat extra's voorzien > koffie, thee en water op de kamer, boeken en spelletjes in huis, (fris)drank en snacks in de keuken, enz...

Une chambre charmante et meublée avec goût.
Pros:

Nous avons été bien accueillis par le propriétaire de ce charmant petit hôtel. La chambre, bien que située au dernier étage, était très jolie et chaleureuse. Nous n'avons manqué de rien et on nous a conseillé de bonnes adresses!

Cons:

Le seul petit bémol était la hauteur de plafond dans la chambre du dernier étage. Pour notre part, nous n'avons pas été trop incommodés, mais à éviter pour des personnes de plus d'1m80...

Waan je even terug in de tijd...
Pros:

Fantastische locatie met sfeervolle inrichting en zeer schoon. Een geweldig hotel wat niet standaard is, maar net even anders. De gastvrijheid zie je terug in de leen-paraplu's (die we gelukkig niet nodig hadden) en het fruit wat we konden pakken.

Cons:

Op zich niets, maar als je niet goed ter been bent, zou ik hier niet voor kiezen. Wij zaten drie hoog. Wel super dat Sacha mijn (altijd weer te) zware koffer naar boven droeg.

Goede locatie. Vriendelijke gastheer. Zeer ruime moderne badkamer.

Cons:

Bed in kamer 2.02. Matras moet echt vervangen worden. Grote put in het midden. Mijn man is zelf in het extra bed gaan slapen dat was voorzien voor onze zoon, omdat dit beter was voor zijn rug. Enige minpunt van ons verblijf.

Insgesammt ein sehr lohnenswertes Reiseziel und Location auch für mehr als nur eine Nacht.
Pros:

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, die Lage zentral und das Haus sowie das Zimmer aussergewöhnlich historisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Monschau ist sehr schön. Wir machten dort auf der Durchreise nach Norddeutschland einen Zwischenhalt.

Cons:

Die Unterkunft hat ein Frühstück ab 9.00 Uhr angeboten. Für uns war das zu spät. Leider konnten wir um 8 Uhr im ganzen Dorf kein Frühstück oder wenigstens ein Brötchen und Kaffee bekommen. Das einzige Café, das eigentlich geöffnet haben sollte, war geschlossen. Wir mussten ohne Frühstück abreisen.

Geweldig!
Pros:

Prachtig historisch pand. Eigenaar verteld met heel veel passie over het pand. Alles is schoon en er was zelfs prosecco om ons welkom te heten. Wij komen hier in de winter zeker terug!

Cons:

Niet van toepassing. We zaten vanwege de Formule 1 alleen in een duurder weekend maar dat mocht de pret en ons nachtje weg niet drukken.

Neues Badezimmer, sehr gute Lage, einfaches Auschecken

Cons:

Leider sehr hellhörig, man hört die Nachbarn aus den benachbarten Zimmern atmen, reden, niesen etc.
Für sensible Menschen (und Hunde) definitiv nicht geeignet.
Beschreibung ist leider auch irreführend bezüglich der Küche. Wenn es in der Beschreibung heißt „Gemeinschaftsräume, wie die Küche“ und „einige Wohneinheiten verfügen über eine Küche mit Kühlschrank Herd und Geschirrspüler“ geht man davon aus, vor Ort eine Kochmöglichkeit zu haben. Bei der Buchung war nicht ersichtlich, was man Buchen muss, um diese Kochmöglichkeiten zu haben, denn selbst beim Loft steht nichts konkretes. Scheint auch nicht das erste Mal vorgekommen zu sein, da direkt der Vorschlag kam, dass man auschecken dürfe und Geld erstattet bekomme, sofern man keine negative Bewertung hinterlässt. Das Gespräch verlief freundlich, dennoch hat man sich etwas veräppelt gefühlt, insbesondere bei der Aussage „Dann muss man auch das richtige buchen“.

The location is near the city center is great.

Cons:

There is no adjacent parking so getting luggage to the room was difficult with the road work. The stairs were a challenging with luggage as well but given the age of the building it understandable.
