This was my second stay here. Staff are accommodating and friendly, property is beautiful and well maintained
I am a senior solo traveler who used to stay at youth hostels in Europe when I was young. I had the same experience here but this was much more upscale with the access to the lake being the best part. I loved meeting the other travelers and the hosts were welcoming and accommodating. What an excellent find in the Twin Cities. I highly recommend this place for all the amenities, comaraderie and a very peaceful night sleep. Thank you!

Wasn’t aware there would be numerous steps to the room. Also didn’t realize it was a shared bath, but it ended up not being a problem.
We really enjoyed the lakefront location and all the comforts of home. Pat and Deb are great hosts! We will book with them again.

The location for my visit in Lake Elmo and area was perfect. Easy to find, the lake was so pretty and the grounds on the property this time of year were beautiful. The area for my use in the lower level was private and had all amenities needed. Very new bath and clean. Bed and room very comfortable, clean and decorated to my taste. Fruit and breakfast bars and coffee available in owners kitchen upstairs. Pat and Deb are wonderful hosts, wanting to help with any needs you might have. I highly recommend the StoneWall House in St. Elmo,MN for your vacation needs.
The on-site owners were inviting, warm, and friendly. Location and beach access was very nice.
The dresser in our room was not usable because it was full of the owners' stuff. There was no fan in our room and very little HVAC air movement to our room. There was a simple door lock to our room, but the owners do not lock the outer house doors, nor do they a way for us to get into the house if they did lock the doors.
Amazing lake location! Very private yet phenomenal view of the lake with a delightful beachfront, gazebo, lakeside grilling, and lovely grounds/yard.

When booked reservations it said that I would prepay when checking in. This wasn’t the case. My payment was ran 2-3 days in advance and when the funds weren’t available I was told that I had until end of business to pay or my reservation would be cancelled and I would have to pay a cancellation fee.
