Pros:

My stay at English Cottage felt like a home away from home for the 6 weeks I was there. I stayed in Room #2, one of two that have a private bathroom providing good privacy, and the owner was generous in sharing the use of his fully stocked kitchen and common rooms for use.

Pros:

I have stayed here multiple times, mostly just a night or two at a time for concerts, and every room I have stayed in is super comfortable. The housekeeper is so kind as well

Great if you want no frills communal living without privacy.

The location is off the beaten path in a nice neighborhood.

Cons:

This is a pretty little cottage as advertised. The owner is an older British gentleman who is very congenial. However, it was like living in a dorm. Everything is shared. There is no private bathroom. Towels are not supplied and my room was little more than a closet with a very uncomfortable single bed. The TV was in the kitchen and it was the only one in the house accessible to guests. AC is at the owner’s comfort level and I was told, like a child, to remember to turn off the lights when I left a room.
