Only a few hundred meters to an amazing beach
Amazing place in the middle of the jungle. Very rural and simplistic. The perfect place to take a vacation from society.
The beach is very close and there are almost no people there, but you have the chance to see baby turtles hatch. Close by the lodge there are also several cute places to eat with just the best food.
So all in all if you're looking for a place close to nature and far away from people, this is the place to be.

Food was good, but you had to wait almost one hour after ordering.
The room was very dark. Bad maintenance, the tap was running all the time, no way to stop it. The bathroom is not in shape and not hygienic. There was only one light. The rest of the light bulbs were broken or missing. Electricity dangerous. Outside no space to sit in the shade.
In general hospitality and care beliw level. .
Price quality rate is that it is way too expensive
We left after one night although we had booked for three.
Tout était parfait. L’emplacement est calme, loin de l’agitation du centre ville, les logements sont dans un joli jardin fleuris que vous partagez avec des animaux tels que des paons et plein de petits écureuils. En prime, Saman notre hôte ainsi que sa famille, ont été d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Il nous a amené le soir voir l’éclosion des bébés tortues sur la plage qui se situe à 3 minutes à pied, puis nous avons marché pour assister à la ponte d’une femelle, le tout dans le respect le plus strict de l’animal. Il nous a aussi assisté pour la réservation d’une excursion dans les mangroves que nous n’oublierons certainement pas. En prime, sa sœur cuisine de délicieux repas et petits déjeuner.

The quietness of this place is exactly what I was looking for in my Sri Lanka trip. I ended up staying one week here, enjoying the nature, the birds sound and an almost empty beach at just 2 minutes walk from the room. ( you can actually hear the waves with the open window) The host, Saman, and his family always have a smile for everyone and they make everything possible to make you feel at home and comfortable. The breakfast is different everyday and made me full till the evening! There are also bikes for rent perfect for .moving around if you want
Un jardin agréable et un emplacement à deux pas de la plage (non baignable mais magnifique). Le petit déjeuner sri lankais était très bon et copieux. L'accueil chaleureux et souriant. Le calme environnant est un pure régal, vous entendrez le bruit des vagues de votre chambre.
Endroit isolé donc nécessite d'être véhiculé pour vos déplacements (cependant pas d'inquiétudes plein de bons restaurants sont accessibles à pied).Lit un peu spartiate et dur.
Luckily I've decided to stay here, I was looking for a calm and relaxed place close to the ocean and that's what I've found.
The beach is 2 minutes by walk and it is beautiful, very wild, you won't find many restaurants here, you can enjoy long walks on the sand and when is high season you can also have a swim ( I've been there in August and the ocean was too rough for swimming). At night I witnessed an incredible event, a Sea Turtle laid her eggs on the shore. It was Amazing. Indeed there's a Turtle Conservation Centre nearby the entrance of the beach.
Saman has been super nice, we become good friends, he took me around and showed me so many things, including the Turtles.
The accommodation is nice and simple, it is surranded by Saman's garden that is full of plants and animals. You might have the chance to see the legendary MouseDeer.
Saman's Mum is the greatest cook, i loved all her breakfasts and meals that che prepared for me (they also run a small Restaurant).
I really raccomend this place, hopefully I will be able to come back here again!

Located a bit away from the buzz of Tangalle Beach, but just a 3-min walk to the turtle conservation area, it was great for experiencing turtle nesting & hatching (watched two Green Sea Turtles laying eggs at night). The owner of the homestay guides you on a 3-4h turtle night walk for LKR 1.5k per person, most importantly he is actually very respectful to the environment during his tour educating tourists, keeping distance, using only red light and ensuring that the nesting turtles are not stressed.
Very stuffy/hot room as the fan wasn’t working very well. The shower was leaking and dripping all night. The power sockets in the room are Type D (Indian); a socket with Type G (British) is available only in the community/restaurant area.
Beautiful place to stay, in lovely gardens and so close to the beach where I got to see lots of turtles
Lovely little cabin 5 minutes from the beach, very calm spot ideal for relaxing at the beach or at the cabin. The turtle watching was fantastic, we saw several turtles and one laying her eggs.
The food was good, the breakfast a bit light but we asked for more.
The owner is a nice guy, made us welcome and took us out looking for turtles (1500 pp)

Wonderful staff, rooms are simple but great value for the price. Good breakfast, beautiful gardens to relax in, close to the beach. a few minutes walk to the turtle sanctuary.
Not many restaurants nearby but an easy tuk-tuk ride if you want to get other food/drink options.
Beautiful stay in the middle of nature, right next to the beach. Saman was an amazing host who made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing, the dinner was good and reasonably priced too. He took us to see the turtles lay their eggs on the beach at night and it was much better than the tours you'd usually take there. We were also able to rent a scooter from him at a reasonable price.
All in all I would 100% recommend staying here
The air in the room tended to get a bit stuffy, though this wasn't a big problem as you could simply open the window and turn the fan on
