Recommend stay in Thekkady
Pros:

The place was really calm and serene. Very well maintained and managed property. They have a beautiful inhouse plantation. George gave us a tour which was very informative. He also helped us in booking other activities in the town. We had a great time.

Great location, lovely staff
Pros:

George and his team were incredibly friendly. The outside spaces of the property are so peaceful and the breakfasts were relaxing and enjoyable. The surrounding area makes this stay exceptionally good.

Beautiful getaway in nature
Pros:

The views from the bedroom were incredible. The food was delicious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional. I loved it here.

Pros:

Of our 5 hotel stays in India this was by far the best one.
The rooms are very clean and have a great view.
The dinner was very delicious. The location within multiple spice plantations was lovely.
To the Periyar tiger reserve it is just a 10min TukTuk ride.

The owner of the Homestay helped us every day to organize any activities we wanted to do and also organized the tuktuk/taxi drivers. They were all great and could speak very good English.

A lovely tranquil place to stay when visiting the Periyar Tiger Reseve.
Pros:

Coffee and Pepper Plantation is a great place to stay when visiting The Periyar Tiger Reserve. George is very helpful with booking safaris and boat trips and organising Tuk tuks to take us there. The dinners are good though the choice is limited. Breakfast is also good. It's in a good location, just off the main road, where it is easy to get a bus or tuk tuk into Kumily town.

Cons:

Nothing really, a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

Unmatched hospitality in gorgeous surroundings
Pros:

Surely one of the absolute best places we’ve been so far on our three week Kerala-trip!
It’s a family run business and George and his parents are such kind hosts. George gave us a tour around the property (gardens & plantation) and showed us all the different plants, herbs, fruits and spices they are growing. He will also provide you with anything you need sightseeing-wise in and around the area if you ask for it.
The rooms and the house are incredibly well maintained, everything is cared for with meticulous attention for detail. Super clean, super well thought-through and beautifully designed. It is by far the most beautiful place we’ve stayed at and puts many European hotels to shame.
There’s plenty of restaurants in town - however we would urge you to not skip their home cooked dinner which is absolutely delicious and served in the new dining hall downstairs.
Truly, a memorable stay we highly recommend. Would definitely come again!

Absolute Empfehlung – Ein echtes Juwel!
Pros:

Wer Ruhe und Natur sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir wurden wunderbar empfangen und direkt mit einer Tour durch den eigenen Gewürzgarten sowie einem Wegweiser durch die Teeplantagen überrascht.
Die Verpflegung war ein echtes Highlight: Das hausgemachte Abendessen war köstlich und das Frühstück eine kreative, willkommene Abwechslung zum Standard. Ein ruhiger Ort inmitten eines grünen Paradieses. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen!
