A charming stay in the heart of Trancoso, with warm service and a legendary Sunday feijoada
Pros:

Beautiful place, very friendly staff, exceptional breakfast, and a great location right on the Quadrado, the trendiest spot in Trancoso. They also serve an amazing feijoada on Sundays, a tradition they’ve kept for 30 years. It’s a local tradition to enjoy their feijoada for Sunday lunch.

Excelente ubicación y calidad del servicio de comidas

Lo mejor el desayuno, la atención del personal de recepción y el personal de la cocina. También la ubicación en pleno cuadrado.

Cons:

La suite que nos tocó (Pescador) estaba al lado del salón de desayuno y muy cerca de la cocina. Como la posada tenía restaurante el lugar se tornaba muy ruidoso todo el día (en especial a la noche). La ventana de la habitación era de hojas corredizas y no tenía herrajes de cierre. Hubo algunos detalles de gotera por las intensas lluvias y presencia de hormigas y algunas cucarachas.

A localização. Otimo cafe da manhã.

Cons:

O hotel resolveu fazer uma reforma na cozinha que durou um dia inteiro, alem de aplicação de verniz em todos os moveis de madeira da parte da frente com cheiro insuportável por 24hs. Duas atitudes de absoluto desrespeito aos hospedes.

Fantastic. From location to food to proximity to beach to warmth of the staff — I was blown away.
Pros:

I have been coming to trancoso for years. This was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed in. So beautiful and quaint and the staff made us feel so at home. The breakfast was incredible and the location was unbeatable. I cannot recommend casa da Gloria enough. Will be staying there on my next trip!

Cons:

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
