Exceptional. Very good cleanliness, top service and outstanding food. The team even got up at a very early time to make sure I mad breakfast. Highly recommended.

We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf! De locatie is uniek, midden in een bergdorp waardoor je een zeer authentieke ervaring krijgt.
We hebben heerlijk gegegeten, geslapen, gewandeld en lekker kunnen ontspannen op het dakterras. Tot slot maakten de eigenaren het verblijf compleet met hun gastvrijheid, we voelden ons hierdoor meer dan welkom. Echt een aanrader.

Realmente, no te esperas encontrar algo así en este lugar. El emplazamiento es privilegiado, el alojamiento en sí es muy coqueto y la familia es encantadora, además hablan un inglés perfecto. Está bastante apartado, pero siguiendo las indicaciones pudimos encontrarlo incluso de noche, en moto. Lo recomiendo a personas con espíritu aventurero y entusiasmo por la cultura bereber.

This was a perfect place for our family to enjoy Eid. We were blessed with beautiful hospitality from Hicham's family, enjoying delicious food and warm company. I enjoyed getting a haircut too. Much recommended!

What a wonderful and relaxing experience. Hicham and his family opened their home to us with wonderful home-cooked meals and relaxing cups of tea on the terrace overlooking the mountains. Hicham helped us find a beautiful hiking trail.

It was very beautiful up in the mountains and the food was very delicious. The hosts are very kind and helpful.

I cannot recommend Dar Lala Zhour more highly. A friend and I stopped here while on a bicycle tour in Morocco. Of all the places we stayed, this was both of our favourites.

Hicham's wife welcomed us and was very friendly. We were able to talk to her about our trip and ask questions about Moroccan culture. The balcony overlooking the countryside had a fantastic view, and the dinner was among the best we had in Morocco. The surrounding village is also very pleasant and refreshing after time spent in big cities. We felt very at home here.

For fellow cyclists: Dar Lala Zhour is about 300 m above the main road and can be reached by a gravel road. The climb is manageable on tired legs as the road quality is ok and the ascent is not to steep. It is worth it!

liked the location, the food, beds were comfy, staff are charming, and a wild but fantastic ride in 1st gear up the gravel swithchbacks on bike+sidecar

We stayed at Hicham and Hayeds (and their sweet little daughters) beautiful place for 3 nights and had an absolutely great time. They were friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. We particularly enjoyed the cooking class at the house and a tour the market nearby is also great fun. You can also do some hiking there - to the next village or to the mountain peak.

Everything in this place is amazing! Arriving in the little “town” up in the mountains with a few houses, a mosque and a coffee shop, hidden between hills and forests feels out of this world. Being welcomed by Hicham and his wife Hayat, lovely heartwarming people, made us feel very welcome and at home. Homemade Diner and breakfast by Hayat were delicious and always accompanied by a delicious mint tea. The views over the mountains were mindblowing, you can enjoy them at different levels of the house in form of rooftops and outside patios. It creates a very enjoyable architectural maze of rooms and passages. Our stay was too short to enjoy fully so we decided to come visit soon again ! Shoukran bezaf !

We were made to feel really welcome in this family homestay. The host took time out to explain to us about the traditional ways of rural family life. We had dinner, and breakfast with them, and the food was amazing !

Superb location and tasty home cooked meals.The room is clean and the bed comfortable.

It’s location between mountains

Nice location up in the mountains, very friendly English speaking host, good tagine and breakfast. Excellent stopp on my bicycle tour!
