El personal fue muy agradable y atento
The bed, the toilet everything was nice
I like all
They didnt have Generator eventhough they said they did, i had 2 kids with me and my whole family which made it so hard for us without electricity
It wasn’t bad at all. The only thing is the road going to the location especially when it’s raining. And the towels, they hesitant to give us beach towel and daily towels as well.
The staff was incredibly kind and available to help us out anytime, always smiling and friendly.
We had an amazing stay, room was beautiful with a nice interior, clean, quiet and with all the small amenities. Having a kettle + water to drink in the room was a plus :)
The breakfast was so good that we often ate there. The accomodation also had a coffee place which was lovely and stylish
We also loved how well curated was the hotel with all the tropical plants :)
Wifi and hot water working perfectly and also plenty of space to park the bikes.
Perfect location away from the main road, few minutes away from GL, local restaurant nearby and everything you need is just walking distance
Higly recomment and definitely coming back . Thank you
It was a bit annoing to walk on the small road to get there as it was muddy with an ongoin contruction. It's not their fault but I think by now, hopefully, they should have fixed it :)
It's a nice small hotel, not the cheapest one in Siargao, and it appears to be one of the better ones. Nicely located with tropical plants around the rooms. The room decorations are nice too, plus a bathroom of good size.
There was a huge issue with electric power supply for the whole duration of stay. Despite them having a generator to back up this issue, the hotel prioritizes power to the coffee bar (which is on the same premises) to cater the digital nomads working there during daytime and give them aircon and they latte...
The hotel guest like us, who paid above average per night for Siargao and have expectations, had to suffer with no power during midnight time, resulting in no airco, no fan and no light or charging possible during the night.
After complaining, the situation was slightly better, however still not good.
Power supply to Siargao seems to be a major issue and often occurs, so beware of this!
The staff was very accommodating and the room was set behind lush greenery and has comfortable beds. There is a restaurant and cafe on property which makes it convenient especially when it rains. P.s. their breakfast is the best!
The road leading to the property can be difficult to navigate because of the rainy season and on-going construction nearby but this wasn’t their fault and it did not affect the quality of my experience with them.
The rooms were clean and nice
They charged us an extra 750 pesos as we brought 5 people to sleep in our 8 bed room, saying the price of the whole room is more if there are more people, despite the fact the price for 4/5/6 up to 8 people is exactly the same on booking.com. The staff didn't want to hear it though when I showed them this and said we had to pay it.
We also ordered 5 espresso martinis thinking that because there was an espresso machine and good quality alcohol on the shelf, they would be good here, however we were proved very wrong. The cheapest vodka mixed with cold brew, shaken and brought to the table individually 5 times - painful to experience.
It's a shame because the place is actually quite nice but they obviously make their money scamming people on hidden charges and overpriced attempts at cocktails.
I emailed after our stay hoping to at least get some response from the owner but obviously they don't care just as much as their staff don't.
We would absolutely not recommend this place just based on this poor service. There are much better places in general luna for the same price and way better service.
Good
there was no power on the island so take this with a grain of salt - apart from that everything was fantastic
lack of bedding on second floor
Distance from strip
I highly recommend Villa Himaya if you’re planning a trip to Siargao. It’s incredibly cozy with an authentic island vibe, and the staff is very accommodating and friendly especially Jeffrey (frontdesk) . It’s also budget-friendly while still being both classy and comfortable. Plus, it’s conveniently located near all the fun spots. Definitely a 5-star experience for us!
