Pros:

Beautiful location, nice food from the boat man’s wife, can access other islands by kayak

Cons:

Too many hidden fees for use of hotel equipment like snorkels etc, room is too expensive considering they don’t offer you towels, the shower was a hose pipe that burst open every time you showered and sprayed the whole room and the mosquito net didn’t fit the net and had over 20 holes in.

Pros:

Locatie was fantastisch, echt een paradijs, alleen de accommodatie was gewoonweg onveilig, verouderd en ver beneden de maat. Alles, de huisjes en sanitaire voorzieningen moeten vernieuwd worden. Leek een scène uit expeditie Robinson. Maar onze host Horis was zeer vriendelijk en probeerde er op zijn manier de beste van te maken.

Paradisiac and an adventure.
Pros:

The property was but anything that we had seen before. Hidden in the jungle startled by a beach on both corners, with animals running around. The houses were built totally by hand and breathtaking. Truly the perfect place to disconnect (literally since theres no cell connection).

Cons:

Since everything is diy there, leakages can occur during extreme storms.

Cons:

We booked a middle price room and were put into the cheapest room. This was even not a problem for us but we ask back the difference in the price. The owner was not willing to, he even charged us more again for another night. Such a beautiful place and such an unwelcoming treatment.

Pros:

Bungalow direkt am (eigenen) Strand, sehr schöne Erfahrung und mir hat es an nichts gefehlt. Sehr nettes Personal, Essen wird per Boot gebracht und es können sehr schöne Boottrips sowie An- und Abreise organisiert werden. Außerdem durfte ich mir einen Schnorchel leihen und habe eine Schildkröte max. 50m vom Strand entfernt gesehen

Pros:

The staff were excellent and super friendly.
The rooms are basic (which is the whole idea) but the location is amazing and the place where you stay is very clean.

Pros:

Endroit idéal pour passer quelques jours à 2h de Padang , en bord de mer , dans un lieu paradisiaque et authentique .
L'équipe est au top !
Les repas livrés sont variés et très bons !
Quel grand moment de voir et nager avec les tortues 🤗.
Je recommande vivement !

Cons:

Attention au grignotage des écureuils ; ne rien laisser qui pourrait les attirer dans vos sacs !

Ile bien placée,océan idéal pour nager marée haute,et voir des tortues d'eau géantes.
Personnel agréable et bienveillant..

Cons:

Cependant,quel dommage,bungalows non sécurisés,vetustes,prêts à s'ecrouler,aucun entretien du lieu,ne devrait pas paraître dans booking au niveau des infrastructures .pas de réglementation en Indonésie,pour faire fermer un lieu non secure. Le propriétaire ne fait rien depuis des années.Il ne vient jamais sur place.2 bungalows écroulés lors d'une tempête,toujours sur place,cela n'attirent pas confiance.

Paradise, but…
Pros:

Aris is an amazing host. He made and his friends made the trip magnificent. You are on an isolated island so it’s nice to have great local people to mingle with. The boatman is also nice and he cooks good. Overall you feel like Robinson Crusoe. Truly paradise!

Big bonus is swimming with turtles. Although the coral is dead (because of overfishing), you can still see nice fish when you snorkel.

Cons:

So it is mentioned before in other reviews, so we knew that the state of the cabins wasn’t great. But you have to be aware of this. This is not a place for children, elderly or people that like comfort. But even for us (experienced travelers) it was a bit intense. The state of the houses is beyond bad. It really needs fixing. It feels like the owner is not willing to invest in these houses, which is a pity cause the area is amazing and has so much potential.

What scared us the most was the fact that a French tourist died last year. She was sleeping in her cabin during a storm and a tree fell on her. The remains of the cabin are still there and it doesn’t look like they took any safety measurements after this accident
