Pros:

Neelakurunji Plantation is a wonderful property where we enjoyed an idyllic vacation time with family. The rooms are well designed and spread out amidst many acres of cardamom plantations. The staff members are very courteous and receptive to our needs. For example, they prepared special food everyday for our toddlers on request.

Cons:

For the first timer, it is a bit difficult to navigate the way into the campus. It is suggested to put up a gate or sign at the entrance with the name of the plantation.

Pros:

This is an excellent property to experience the beauty of Munnar. The staff, especially Suja is a true professional. I was amazed that she remembered us even after 9 years of last being there. I highly recommend this property

Magical
Pros:

This hotel has an exceptional location if you are looking for lush nature up in the mountains.
A Shangri-La.
The mornings are magical waking up to the bird songs..
We stayed there for four nights. Could easily have doubled it. During the days there are several options for trekking around the whole Munnar area, though do plan in time.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We hope to be able to return.

Pros:

Our room was spacious and quiet and we slept well. I had contacted the staff in advance to confirm a late check in and they were kind to wait up and greet us at the property

Cons:

We were asked to move rooms the morning after we had checked in and although we were later told we didn’t need to, given we were only staying for 2 nights this was frustrating and confusing. Access to the property is really challenging road and this should be made clearer on the description. We didn’t rate the morning walk we went on with the hotel team as we would have expected some information to be shared about the area etc - if this is not the case, perhaps giving people a map so they can do it alone as it just felt a little awkward!
