OK but parking is extra?
Pros:

Normal Courtyard type place

Cons:

Too much noise from the open area in the back, both morning and evening.
It is not acceptable to have to pay for parking and the breakfast solution is not great for a hotel that costs this much. Santa Barbara is expensive but it is a joke to pay this much for a simple hotel and to have pay extra for parking.

Overpriced decent hotel next to the airport
Pros:

Really impressed by the staff's kindness. My room was clean and spacious. Just perfect for one night near the airport to catch an early flight.

Cons:

Having to pay another $15 for parking feels excessive, especially since the room rate was over $300. I take responsibility for it; I should have paid more attention when making my reservation, but considering the type of hotel, I got very little value for a lot of money.

All good...except
Pros:

Very decent hotel room (a spacious, decently appointed two queen bed suite) with super comfy mattresses! Friendly staff -- and Starbucks coffee for sale in the lobby! But for the love of God, shampoo that carpet! The bottoms of my feet were black (I took a picture; but since I waited too long to respond to their email (11 days the survey is no longer active) and therefore didn't already put them on notice, I don't feel right in posting it here). Now, I realize many people don't go barefoot in hotel rooms. I understand, and have adopted that approach on occasion; but it doesn't let an establishment off the hook! It was well after Labor Day weekend and I imagine less people are staying there in early October, so before the holiday season I would think that's when it would get done. Shampoo. Your. Carpets. Left a BIG impression on me...
