It was alright if you’re in a pinch and don’t plan on staying long
Pros:

Location was good for what we needed

Cons:

Beds were uncomfortable, and one was actually dirty looked like makeup on the sheets, the Bathroom fan was broken, and the room overall was very outdated and ghetto. Door lock ran off on batteries that were just hanging off the inside of the door. Couldn’t adjust fridge temp because dial was broken off.

Pros:

We were seeing shows at the Thunderbird stadium so this was the perfect location. We took many stunning walks to the beach and really enjoyed the more laid back feel of campus compared to Vancouver city.

Rooms are basic, as is the breakfast (potatoes and eggs were delicious), but perfect for us as we are happy with low budget accommodation as long as it’s clean and comfortable, which it was.

Staff are amazing, the customer service is top of its game. We absolutely loved our stay and are very grateful.

Pros:

The location was a 10 minute walk from the main bus stop on the UBC campus. It was convenient to take the bus to other locations like downtown. The room was quiet and clean. The campus itself is beautiful. Overall I am satisfied with my stay and will book this location again if I visit. Eating joints (like cafes and bars) are all within walking distance (10-15 mins max) of the building. Hiking trails (down to the beach) are also within a 15 min walk - very convenient location honestly.

Cons:

It took me a while to figure out the check-in situation and while I was lost trying to call reception (which was closed), my call was note picked up despite multiple calls. This was during their reception hours during the afternoon so not sure why reception was closed and why they didn't pick up. I realized later the mistake I had made was going further into the building looking for the self check in, whereas it was right outside by the entrance (right when you enter to your right). But once I figured it out, the check in and check out both were very easy, no human interaction required.

We had to leave. Due to parking issues and no was there to help or give info.
Cons:

There was no one available to help regarding parking, so we left! We had to reserve a room in another place. Monitor was not working. We even try to call no one responded.
