Expensive for the value, but probably good for the location.

Cons:

The TV did not work, not enough outlets in the place and the parking is very pricey. There is no breakfast included as booking.com advertises.

Given room number and password of the hostel door and room on arrival day

Cons:

Bags were lost or taken by mistake. They could be lost as the room service mistook them for trash. In the process of changing the room ( for defective blinds) the leftover of laundry in the room were not retained. They were discarded but not collected and returned to guests. The lodgec(CareyvLodge) was kind enough to writeca letter to the effect some items were lost. which could help the guess make a claim for the lost items. But it is very unlikely the lost items were seen as trashedcand disposed as the two bagscwere solidly placed on the top of the two suitcases.

Un-comfy campus dorm with broken window blinds, no breakfast and cheap staff.

The pictures on Booking do NOT match reality, they have been enhanced and are misleading.
Microwave (one per entire facilty, and in shared space) was NOT working.
Brekafast was inexistent: in my 5 days stay, breakfast was NOT provided, and the Tim Horton's gift card promised to replace breakfast were almost impossible to obtain : one needed to ask breakfast Tim's cards daily (one per day) strictly between 7:30 and 9 am (which makes little sense since in May-June the nearest Tim's opens at 8:30 am). Male manager was rude and inflexible, since both unwilling to give a cumulative breakfast card, and unwilling to release card at 7:15 am (and even less shortly after 9 am). In summary, since I was available only until 7:30 because of my work, I missed breakfast.
Dorm room was cheap, with broken vertical blinds, and 2 lamps (bulbs) out of 5 not working. Minimal soap and shampoo, and limited towels.
Value is not consistent with cost. Look elsewhere! For that price, or adding a few bucks, one can get a real hotel instead of this... place.

Pros:

The area was great for our appointments .easy to get around. Lots to see and do. Friendly staff

Cons:

The room was quite basic. But clean. Could have used 1 other hand towel and 1other face cloth since 2 people were booked into the room. The bed could be upgraded.

Pros:

Very conveniently located UBC students and parents, since it's on campus. Breakfast is decent, including hot food served hostel style.

Cons:

Poor housekeeping. There were no towels when we checked in, one of the window drapes was defective and the folding bed was uncomfortable. Maybe because we were there for just two nights, bathroom was not cleaned, though we put the sign requesting for it.
