Boutique Hotel Porta di Castro

L'endroit est atypique et absolument charmant, on se croirait dans un musée... Mais sans sacrifier au confort (la baignoire à bulle dans la chambre je ne m'y attendais pas). Le quartier peut faire peur en arrivant... Mais vu les rues de Palerme, cela fait parti du flolkore. On accède à une cour/piscine en traversant une ruelle et on a l'impression de se baigner dans l'enceinte abandonnée d'une église. Absolument génial. Le personnel est adorable, de très bon conseil pour les repas. Petit déjeuner presque trop copieux...

We loved everything from start to finish. We were greeted with amazing staff who welcomed us with food and wine which was lovely after a long travel. Our room was upgraded with a gorgeous view from the balcony. The room and bathroom was immaculate! The pool facilities were gorgeous and the staff couldn’t have done more for us. Great location only few minutes from lovely restaurants and the cathedral. We plan to get married in Palermo next year and will be recommending this to our guests.

Staff was excellent. Front desk reception was very professional and friendly. Breakfast was included which was quite welcomed and good. Location was conducive to key areas of Palermo.

Bâtiment historique, décoration design, chambre confortable et petit déjeuner pantagruélique.
Et que dire de la piscine dans une ancienne eglise !

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was exceptional.

The location is outstanding—within easy walking distance of Palermo’s historic center, just a few blocks from the Cathedral of Palermo, and surrounded by wonderful restaurants, shops, and sightseeing opportunities. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. We stayed in a Quattro room with my mother, husband, and daughter, and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax comfortably.

Breakfast was included and was a highlight of each morning. The selection was extensive, high quality, and featured a wonderful variety of traditional Italian breakfast offerings. It was the perfect way to start every day.

What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the hospitality. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. They helped arrange transportation to the beach, provided towels and water bottles whenever we needed them, assisted with shipping a package without hesitation, and handled restaurant reservations with ease. No request was ever too much trouble.

The warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by every member of the staff made this trip truly special. They played a huge role in making our family vacation perfect.

If you’re looking for a hotel that is comfortable, welcoming, professionally run, and perfectly located, I highly recommend staying here. We would gladly return.
