The staff, The food, the design, the room and the nature

Great location with stunning views - wonderful staff - v helpful and accommodating. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to try the restaurant it is a beautiful space. Great breakfast.

Einfach alles, das Hotel ist traumhaft, tolle Lage mit Blick auf den Tafelberg. Super leckeres Essen und ein wirklich tolles Frühstück. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, das nächste mal für länger.

The Dorp is special. It's a stunning characterful property in a lovely location overlooking Cape Town, and over our six night really did feel like home, with a lovely room and great facilities to relax in, plus there were some small swimming pools in the gardens to cool down in The staff were just wonderful, joyously helpful and super friendly. Our stay was at the start of a two month trip and we spent Christmas at the Dorp, and we loved it.
The Dorp is wonderfully located just beneath Signal Hill, but transport by taxi or Uber is required if you want to go anywhere - no problem really, but over our six nights after trips out in the day we stayed in house for dinner on several nights. We found the in house dinner menu not particularly good relative to the overall quality of the establishment, but that's a small criticism.

The rooms were spacious, I also like the homely feel to it and the lounge area for guests. The little touches in the room very thoughtful.
The staff in this hotel gives ‘get out’ (the film) vibes. I honestly wouldn’t even stay here again even if it was a gifted stay. The staff also very clicky with certain guests kinda ignores you if it was a big hotel I would totally understand but there was 4-5 guests at the time at breakfast, we paid a lot of money for this stay and just feel like we were being neglected nothing was really explained with the hotel facilities. It’s also on a very big hill, uber complains every time! Nothing to do around the property either so will need transport. Keep your money and stay else where please.

While high on the hill and an amazing view, you need a car/Uber. Not ideal to walk.
Fantastische Lage mit Rundumblick vom Tafelberg über Kapstadt bis zum Meer, sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, Einrichtung im Kolonialstil, sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Auch das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet mit Porridge, Shakshuka, Rührei, Würstchen, Früchten etc.
Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Besonders schön sind die Zimmer mit Blick auf Stadt und Tafelberg.
Das Hotel ist nicht billig, aber seinen Preis absolut wert
