Damaged pots and a frying pan, unusable.
No tea cups available. The kitchen equipment does not match what was shown in the photos, where everything appeared shiny and new.
Very bad, white, cold light.
With each passing day, the receptionist on the day shift became increasingly unpleasant and responded to questions—and even greetings—with clear reluctance.
We were given a room above the reception, right above the entrance, opposite a streetlamp, on the lowest floor. As a result, we could hear the TV playing loudly at night at the reception, were woken up by every person ringing the intercom at the entrance, and had unpleasant light from the streetlamp and the hotel’s neon sign shining directly into our windows.
There was a smoking area both under our windows and in the hallway of the building, so cigarette smoke reached us through both the windows and the door, which is unacceptable in a hotel, especially one accommodating guests from different countries.
We were given only one roll of toilet paper, and it was never replenished—we had to ask for more ourselves.
Although the apartment gave the impression of being high standard, it had not been properly maintained for a long time. The doors creaked very loudly, the shutters kept getting stuck, and the balcony could not be secured, making it possible for someone to enter from outside.
In our opinion, we were given the worst room in the hotel due to its proximity to the smoking area, the lights shining directly into the windows, the loud TV at the reception, and the intercom located right outside the windows.
Nobody told us about swimming pool available. It was really ugly behaviour because I love to swim.

Shower could be more clean.

The apartment’s lights need improvement, the lighting is too white and bright which is not welcoming or comfortable to the eyes. It gives a cold ambiance when the lights are on.

Mosque nearby. Can be busy for a long stay with lots of transient people checking in and out of the hotel.

The location is a dead end for foreigner tourists. It is very very far from all the main sights. Taxi cost alot to get to places so we tried going on the bus. The bus stop is close by but very infrequent. Besides that, the bus didn't turn up on the time stated and we'd end up waiting for an hour in the heat. This part ruined our holiday.
This is not the fault of the hotel. But the reviews weren't trustworthy.
There's nothing in the area for tourists as it is a fully residential area.
The swimming pool was really cold even in the summer heat. This is because it is surrounding by buildings which give a shade. My kids hated the cold pool. I looked for a hotel specifically with a pool but it wasn't something my kids could enjoy. So this is something to take in consideration.
There were a few problems in the room. The curtains weren't fully blackout as hotels usually have. So after sunrise the light creeps in. Not ideal for light sleepers. The bedroom air con didn't work properly. The toilet roll holder in the bathroom was broken. There was plaster coming off in one of the bedrooms. There is no room cleaning service. The pool didn't close until 10pm but regardless if my kids went down to sit by the pool at 9pm, the reception guy would come straight away and turn the lights off. This made us feel not welcome to sit by the pool. Our wifi didn't work after the 2nd day so we connected it through another room as the password was the room number. You get given only 1 key for the room unlike hotels where you get 2 cards.
It was poor value for money. I paid 1,000 gbp for 1 week.
Usually the further away the hotel is, the cheaper it is. But this hotel was not. In fact I had seen hotels half the price but booked this one because of the reviews and the swimming pool. Swimming pool turned out to be a disappointment.
The beach was a 45 minute walk and this is extremely exhausting in 37 deg heat.
