Exceptional host, very helpful and friendly. He took us on an amazing walking tour where we spotted the gray fox, wild pigs and antelopes. Ah and lots of birds. Great stop when between Pushkar/Jaisalmer.

Very good authentic food.

If you want to experience authentic traditional rural lifestyle in the desert this is the place to chose. Sleeping under the stars (with plenty of blankets and no mosquitos in February), listening to the chirping of the birds, hanging out with the camels and the very friendly dog in a huge backyard with a swing and bon fire place, eating unlimited amazing and healthy vegeterian food, feeling the warmth and kind hospitality of the whole host family. Location is in a litlte village outside of Osian in traditional huts with modern bathrooms. The host family can organize transportation there from Jodhpur or Osian and also can take you on camel or jeep safaris to see black bucks and other animals. This amazing family also supports an awesome cause (proving free English classes to all the village kids)

How do I even start this review… This is by far one of the best if not the best place experience I’ve had in my travels in India so far. From the moment we arrived to this village deep in the desert lands of rajasthan we were greeted with open arms and of course a chai tea. The village/farm is ran by the father Dhana, his wife, three sons and one sister and they are as wonderful and friendly as it gets. Ashok, one of the sons, was the one that was assisting us with everything during the stay and all I can say is he is the real deal. Anything you need done he will find a way to make it happen. One thing that really stood out to me while I was there was how well the farm animals (camels, cows, bulls, goats) were kept.. they all looked very happy and healthy which I really appreciated. We did the camel safari at sunrise which turned out to be one of the highlights of the stay, we saw many desert animals including a rare grey desert fox! Another highlight was the food that was served to us during our stay.. it was mainly ingredients grown locally in the village and while the meals the simple, they were extremely delicious. Better than some restaurants in fact.. the best part is that the mother would not let you finish eating until your belly was about to explode lol. Like I said before this is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life and I will definitely be back sometime in the future. Please book this place if you are in Rajasthan.

The family is so welcoming and only wants to give you a great time! The food is amazing and the location is very quiet and beautiful! If we could, we would have stayed longer. We did a jeep safari and short camel ride which was fun but not the real adventure we were looking for. The next day we walked to the village (8km going and 8km back) with the host Nensoek and we loved it!

This was a fabulous trip! We were collected from Jodphur and had the most professional driver we’ve had so far In india! A jeep then took us the last part to the village - a great experience. Camel safari was perfect. Wonderful area. The family are wonderful, welcoming and kind. The accommodation is lovely. Great atmosphere, very relaxing and calm - no beeping horns!! Spent evenings round the fire. The food is wonderful and very accommodating to my gluten free needs too! Couldn’t recommend it more

Excellent stay with Dhana Ram’s family. Had a great time talking to them and enjoying their hospitality. The facilities are great, the food is home cooked, wholesome and delicious and little Tommy the dog is the cutest. Would definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful time with Sumer and his family and stayed in their homestay while traveling through India by bicycle.
The location of the homestay is in a beautiful small village and Sumer kindly accompanied us the last kilometers to make sure we find the place.
We stayed in a small traditional hut, that was simple, clean and cosy. There are only a handful of huts and the camels and other animals are close by. A wonderful place.
After watching the sunset from a beautiful spot, my highlight was cooking chapatis together with the family. Sitting by the fireside, chatting and then later enjoying a delicious home-cooked dinner was great.
I am sad we missed the camel tour, as it looked very fun.
Some revenue of the homestay also supports a school right next door where the village kids learn computer skills, typing and coding - a great initiative!

Lovely home stay with kind family. We got to ride camels and I even milked a goat! Lovely food. Was nice to experience real Rajasthan from a local perspective.

I spent nearly a week with Sumer and his family and it was such an incredible experience. Nowhere else have I been in India that has so truly embodied the sentiment of “mi casa es su casa…“ the amount of generosity and warmth from not only the family but also from everyone else in the village was so special. It was sometimes hard to go for a walk as I was always getting invited in for a chai, food, or game with kids!

The homestay provides such a beautiful space to reconnect with your surroundings, and I left with a sense of immense gratitude and peace from the time spent there (as well as a couple extra kilos from the incredible cooking). The rooms are beautiful and you can sleep under the stars at night if you choose. It’s a great place to experience a traditional Rajasthani village lifestyle and easily accessible from Jodhpur.

Fantastic authentic experience with Indian family from Osian. Definitely recommended if you want to get a real flavor (not touristic) of their culture and traditions. They made us feel like home, we cooked typical rajasthani dinner with the mom and did camel ride at sunrise. Definitely one of the best experience in rajasthan!

We had a great stay at the Osian Dhana Ram Ki Dhani Home Stay. We didn't realize that it would be such a relaxing ,quiet place where we could take a camel ride, a walk or just enjoy the peace. The family were very kind the food excellent and sitting round the outdoor fire in the evening quite special..We would have stayed longer if we had realized how special it was and seeing all the stars was fabulous.
