shower head was badly adjusted so that the water poured out of it on one side, no spraying..... hot/cold adjustment was almost non existent or one dimensional. overall, the hotel could have been less expensive as the price did not include breakfast, but the parking was very good and location too
Location was ideal, there were good food options close to us. The owners were very friendly and accommodating to us when we would leave the property. Very quiet and peaceful. We felt like we were home it was very calming.
The rooms could be updated, we had issues with the water temp but I just think that is all of Costa Rica, It was sometimes frustrating trying to get back into the property because we had to be buzzed in. We had to wait 15 mins one time because it was kind of late, I wish we could have gotten a code to go in and out. The restaurant they have on property is just a small place and only offer a few things.
The views were amazing, super friendly hosts who made a great dinner.
The owner/managers were personable, friendly and helpful. The pool/bar area was appealing, particularly after it was tidied up. The room I was assigned was spacious with two separate bedrooms, each with a large bed. The bathroom was also spacious, although it was off one of the bedrooms so was only accessible by passing through that bedroom. Would be ideal for a family. The shower provided lots of hot water. Room appeared clean.
The windows were covered with a plastic sheathing to prevent seeing out or in. When I opened the door to see the greenery (which is the reason I come to Costa Rica), I realized that the parking area was right outside. The toilet seat was broken. The hotel was about 2.5 kms from the recommended restaurant and we were on foot. It was a good walk for us but we Ubered back as it was dark and on a busy street.
The staff was so kind and hospitable. They accommdated us last minute, offered to serve a fresh breakfast for a very small additional cost and made sure we had a safe and comfortable 1 night stay in between our transfers.
If I was staying longer, I would have liked a little better curtain on the room windows and a deeper clean on the room itself.
Had a good view of the valley. Ac, hot water, Wi Fi, and tv all worked.

The location was great. The rooms and overall hotel were very clean. The grounds were very nice. The location was exceptional secure - safest location for my vehicle overnight that I've stayed at in the San Jose area.
It was the staff that really made this location shine. They went above and beyond repeatedly while we were there.
Food at restaurant was OK, but expensive.
Breakfast was good
Accommodation was shabby, Finance Payment did not go correct and felt cheated, We where lucky we good proof double payment had happened. Debit card past normally and was deducted from my account, however the lady said it did not pass and we had to pay cash. Because of this we were not able to pay for the other meals as our thrust to use the card was gone.
