Heel fijn verblijf gehad
Pros:

Alles wat goed. Niks op aan te merken.
Het wat heel erg schoon dat viel direct op.
En je grijpt niet mis in de keuken alles is aan wezig. Echt een heel goed verblijf gehad.

Wir hatten drei schöne Tage in Papenburg.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Cons:

Die sicherlich mal guten Betten sind schon etwas durchgelegen.
Die Heizung konnte man nicht regulieren, im Badezimmer gab es keine Entlüftung, jedenfalls nicht sichtbar und hörbar.
Dem Schlafzimmer auf der oberen Empore fehlt eine zusätzliche Toilette.
Die Außenbeleuchtung funktionierte nicht, auch nachdem wir es an der Rezeption bemängelt hatten, wurde der Fehler nicht behoben [ z.B. Bewegungsmelder].

A disappointing experience at this hotel
Pros:

We booked this hotel based on the descriptions and photos. To get a good room we booked the deluxe room, bigger and better equipped than the standard. On arrival we were allocated room 3 on the ground floor. The room was much smaller than expected based on the photos. There were no curtains to black out so at 5am the bright daylight shone through the very thin almost transparent sunscreen. There was also a lot of noise in the hallway from 5:30 am from other guests and cleaning / kitchen staff. The breakfast for Euro 12.50 was of very poor quality and limited choice. All in all a disappointing overnight stay. The location in town is good. Parking places were available.

One night stay papenburg
Pros:

Have used this hotel for many years , clean big room , all working , little poor wifi else all is good . breakfast is included and good. Parking is also included . Can highly recommend. Restaurant open untill w22.00 serving traditional german food

Nothing special, 'altmodisch'
Pros:

Part of the cycling tour we had a stop at this hotel. Room was OK, enough space, clean, but dated. No inspiration has been put in for years, it seems. The curtains were mounted to allow the maximum of light from outside. Dinner was strange: we seemed to start with dessert. A reddish, sweet type of jello with cream on top. Huh?? Is this a joke? The main course was ok. Dessert was plain custard from a carton with some liqueur on top. How great. Time to replace the cook or for him/her to shape up. We were asked to pay straight after dinner instead of at checkout. Not very hospitable. Staff were having uninvited opiniated talks with us. I did not appreciate political views like this. Breakfast was OK, dishes covered, but again the staff did not speak a word. Is this a cultural problem or something else. Hey, I am a guest!

Would go again even though they changed our hotel!
Pros:

We had booked into Walkers other Hotel in Borkumer Strasse. However, upon arrival manager send us to the Stadtpark hotel with no explanation. When we got there we did not have a room with a balcony as I had booked. It turned out later that they had sent me an email stating this change. However, as I had no access to my emails on holiday I did not know this. Although we were disappointed not to have a balcony we did enjoy this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean. Breakfast was buffet from 6.00 to 10.00 with good selection of continental breakfast. The location was first class as it next a large shopping centre, next to a large supermarket and a few minutes walk from the main canal with all the restaurants and shops. So all in all we were quite pleased to have moved as the other hotel is a longer walk to town. Would definitely come again.

Great location and breakfast
Pros:

Close to lots of shopping and a nice canal walk.
Stayed in a twin single which has tea making facilities. Comfortable beds and pillows, clean and good sized bedroom. I enjoyed my shower, soap provided clean towels.
Breakfast was great hot and cold available with a coffee machine.
Very friendly staff which is always a pleasure!
