Not worth the money! A great view is not enough!

Not worth the money!
I paid more than 1,000 EUR per night for the suite incl. breakfast, but breakfast didn't even include eggs! You had to pay extra for any little omelette.
In the afternoon around 5pm I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden, but then I was rudely denied to sit at certain tables because "they had been prepared already for dinner". The preparation? A plate on the table. If you charge 1,000+ per night, you cannot have such a bed-and-breakfast mentality!
Upon checkout they charged me the full amount (again), despite I had paid already to booking.com - luckily I checked my credit card statement 2 days after checkout!

Pros:

Die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön, die Zimmer- und Restaurantanlage ebenfalls. Die Küche im Appartment war gut ausgestattet. Das Außen-Bistro mit Gemüsegarten ist sehr stylisch mit bequemen Sofa, Sesseln, Polstern und Kissen ausgestattet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Wir finden, dass das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht passt. Es ist viel zu teuer. Das Frühstück wird im Appartment serviert, was zur Folge hat, dass alle warmen Speisen oder der Kaffee kalt ankommen. Kaffeekapseln gab es zwar auch auf dem Zimmer, aber diese wurden vergessen, nachzufüllen. Bei vielen Speisen, z.B. Rührei musste man 15 € zuzahlen. Zudem muss man sich am Vortag bis 18 Uhr entscheiden, was man zum Frühstück haben möchte. Das Restaurant ist sicherlich ein Feinschmeckerparadies, aber wirklich hochpreisig. Das Essen im Bistro ist wenig einfallsreich und wenig schmackhaft.

Fabulous
Pros:

The staff were amazing, from Fabrizio to Francesca to Ludovica to the charming barman at the bistro. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect and the resort done so beautifully. The meal at the restaurant on our last evening was one of the best we have ever had. Thank you all.

A perfect stay
Pros:

The property was so beautiful and the pool view was breathtaking
There was also a very nice bistro/bar that overlooked the lake
- La Cucina restaurant, with the same amazing view, served varied dishes, we had the tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was amazing
The staff at La Darbia was welcoming and helpful
All in all a perfect stay
We will definitely visit again

Incredible - can’t wait to return!
Pros:

This property was more than we could have imagined - from the moment we arrived, we stepped into the magic. The apartment was cute as anything, staff amazing and facilities incredible - I can’t rate it enough!

Cons:

I suppose the only thing is that it is tricky to get to if you arrive by train, but otherwise perfect!
