Pros:

Das Penthouse war sehr schön. Ein bisschen kahl an den Wänden. Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Mit dem Check-In hat auch alles gut geklappt.

Cons:

Gab nichts auszusetzen, außer das auf dem Boden noch Salzstangen vom Vorgänger lagen.

Great location and smart heating, but fridge and housekeeping need serious improvement
Pros:

Das Loft Apartments in Aachen has a fantastic location at Kaiserplatz. Within two minutes you reach bus stops, shopping, and the pedestrian streets — everything you need is right there.
The heating control system is honestly one of the best I’ve seen: you can set water temperature, and room temperature could be set separately for day and night, and even choose when day and night start. The controller is in the hallway and super intuitive — I figured it out in a minute. A short instruction would still help, since many guests clearly struggle with it.
The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, cookware, plates, glasses, and even shot glasses.
The bathroom was perfectly fine, and the heated towel rail worked great — on max it dried socks and a T-shirt in a few hours.
The WiFi was excellent, and the French balconies (floor-to-ceiling windows with a clean glass barrier) were a really nice touch.
Check-in is contactless and smooth, city tax can be paid via PayPal, and I even managed to check in early after requesting instructions.

Cons:

The fridge is in terrible condition — broken freezer door, damaged shelves, and even visible black mold. It clearly needs urgent replacement.
The apartment entrance door is misaligned, leaving a gap at the bottom where corridor light shines in at night.
Also, the lack of a microwave is noticeable.

Cleaning service was inconsistent and chaotic. One day nobody came at all, another day trash was taken and the bed made but shower gel wasn’t refilled even though it was empty. I even removed the bottle from the holder hoping it would signal the cleaners — nothing. I ended up buying my own at REWE and used it for the rest of the week. Another day towels were replaced but the trash wasn’t taken out. There’s clearly no quality control over housekeeping.
