Location was excellent, and the courtyard was brilliant place to sit
Kitchen was small and fridge wasn’t keeping the items cold
We liked the fact it was close to all amenities. The view of the sea from the property was a bonus.
The fact that it did not come with parking! We found a cheaper place to park in Victoria Street. But it was pay by Ringo. Unfortunately you can't pay for the whole day. Only a few hours at a time at £1.90 per hour. So had to set an alarm for 7.30am to pay for the parking everyday. Then every few hours of the next day and night. So felt like I couldnt properly relax.
Also the cottage did not have a TV, only a radio. Luckily we found a pub to watch the England match. Also it didn't come with a microwave or cooking facilities. So you had to go out to eat. So the price of the cottage was a bit expensive.
The location was fab. Very big room, fantastically clean. New bathroom.
They need to invest in BLACKOUT roller blinds in the bedroom, light poured in from 4am and then I was awake. Not great when you come away for a night.
Location location location. Deckchairs included, large room.
Parking would have been nice but various car parks are close by. Not sure why they don’t just have a lock box vs having to pick up keys from the hotel 10 min walk away
Location, staff and service. If you are looking for a seaview and a bit of character, perfect.
Seagulls at 4am. Blimely they can make a racket.
Fantastic location, spacious & well furnished & decorated
Kitchen layout, no head high cupboards for crockery which meant limited utensils, crockery etc.
Could do with a pair or scissors. A couple of things need fixing - main bedroom/bathroom door does not stay shut - had to put bin in front to prevent opening/lights out/flickering in 2nd on suite bedroom.
The location was right on the beach front. On a very hot couple of days, the room was very cool and comfortable. While not a proper kitchen, it was adequately stocked for an overnight stay. Deckchairs for the beach were a big bonus.
Only after booking was it explained that key collection was not at the cottage, but a 10/15 minute walk away at a hotel (on the other side of town if coming from the train station). Staff at the hotel seemed very stressed and were quite abrupt when I asked them to clarify where to leave the keys after checkout (as it's in a lockbox, closer to the cottage). Met others checking out that had the same experience and were unclear what to do.
The room and bathroom has people passing right by the windows so it means, if you want privacy, blinds have to be closed.
Quite a noisy location at night as at the centre of the action.
Could be tricky with kids or for someone with mobility issues.
Good location. Nice and clean.
Rather overpriced for one night’s stay. Was expecting a bit more than a standard room. Also the lack of parking was a real pain.
loved the window seat! sat ther all evening listening to the sea and reading my book... bliss
a french press for coffee instead of the standard rubbish instant coffee would have made my morning coffe on the beach even more memorable.
Beautiful, well located property, perfect for a visit for 2 to Whitstable. The bedroom was really spacious and had sea views, lovely bathroom with freestanding bathtub, and courtyard with stools (and deckchairs in cupboard) to watch over the beach/ catch the sunset! Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a night away in Whitstable

Location, cleanliness, quality cosmetics and tea selection, soft drinks in the fridge, lovely bathroom, good wifi.
No TV, noise heard from upstairs flat, every footstep, ceiling needs soundproofing, need to collect key far from property (key lock box would be preferable).
The location was fab, great view of the sea. I just feel mis-lead about the parking. It says before you book that it has parking but it’s not until you receive the confirmation e-mail that it states there is no parking available at the property. Most nearby car parks are two hour stay only.
The room has a lovely big bath and shower.
Please be aware there is no TV. The noise from the room above is quite loud if there are kids running around and dogs. It was spotlessly clean.
I was offered a compensation gesture for my complaint about the parking issue but as I didn’t see the email in time, I missed out - I only had 3 days to reply unfortunately.
Overall, nice big room and good location with lots of restaurants to choose from nearby.
No parking, no TV, noisy if there are people staying above.
Beautifully renovated, great shower, comfy bed, styled nicely. Overall perfect accomodation
The photos when I booked showed the top floor flat, it didn’t say I was going to be on the bottom floor with a different view, there was a family staying in the above flat and the footsteps and banging from above was so loud, not because of the family above but because of the sound proofing. It was really loud and distracting, not pleasant.
View and room
No television and so noisy above couldn’t sleep
