No windows in the basement. Pictures said it had a balcony. It was super loud you could hear everyone outside which was also a parking areas
A good experience. Everything neat and clean, comfortable. All amenities for a short stay are present and what wasn't there I only had to ask for. Very quick, clear and helpful contact with Layla. She's made for this kind of business.
Just a little heads-up for people who have difficulty taking stairs. If you're on the upper floor, like me, it's quite a climb.
Stairs
We stayed at Layla House for two weeks and would totally recommend it. The location was great! So many street vendors, restaurants, and cafes tucked away in those alleys (many don't even show up on Google Maps). There's a little grocery store and convenience store nearby as well, so we just felt the location had everything we wanted.
Layla was really quick to respond, our room was thoroughly cleaned whenever we requested it, and they provided same-day laundry service which was really convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with a basic kitchenette so we could cook a few meals. It was really nice!
There were always a few dead cockroaches in the lower level entrance and I thought it was odd they didn't get removed. At least they were dead! :)
Great location in an alley, friendly helpful staff, nice room.
The AC was a little bit weak but once it got going it was fine. Bare fluorescent light fixtures.
Very good location, nice and responsive host!
Maybe its a one time thing, but there were some ants coming from a wall.
Cozy and very peaceful place in nosy city
I feel relax when I lived there

My stay at Le Nhim homestay was truly unforgettable. From the comfortable bed . I left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, already planning my next visit to this charming retreat.
All good
Room is well equipped with kettle, kitchenette, big fridge, wardrobe, desk. Clean, good smell and locate in a quiet alley within walking distance to food and drink of D1
Narrow stair.
The place is in an area which I loved - narrow streets with locals, small shops and street vendors, and quite a lot of cafés where I often sat with my laptop to do some work, and I basically loved wondering around in the narrow streets just to look around.
The staff members are very nice and helpful. If you stay longer, you get free laundry service too. The room had a small balcony, which was a great bonus. There is an Italian restaurant downstairs with very affordable prices, which I often used for take-away, but I also loved the Bun Cha place not far, and used some of the take-away places for lunch and dinner.
You get a large fridge and freezer too.
Wifi was working fine, although I didn't need fast connection.
Communication with the host was excellent, he replied immediately most of the times, and was very helpful with everything.
The room was on the smaller side, but not too tiny. Although there is an induction cooktop in the room, don't expect to be able to cook anything complex, and the sink is on the balcony. Being able to cook comfortably was something that I was missing a lot, but it is what it is.
As others have mentioned, it is above a nail/beauty salon, which was not disturbing for me in itself, except the very strong smell sometimes - but you only experience in when you pass the area downstairs. And yes, finding it may be tricky, there are no signs whatsoever, but if you prepare for this, you'll have no problem finding it.
Sometimes, I could hear loud noises from the room above, even at night. I think, the sound insulation is extremely week.
-nice quiet street, but easy to walk to anything you need
-room is comfortable- nice to have a big fridge and additional sink
-host was very responsive and accommodating
-great value for $ in hcmc
there was a lot of noise within the property 2 of the 3 nights (baby crying, cat crying, dog barking, people talking loud late at night)
I think it was just unlucky who was there the same
Time as us
There’s a nice tea-coffee shop in the corner.
I don’t recommend you to use the laundry service, they destroyed half of my clothes, even when I asked delicate wash 30 degrees.
I asked if it’s possible to rent this place directly from them when I come back, they wanted the same price like in Booking, I refused so I tried to book through the app the same room and they increased the price on dates that I wanted.I find it ridiculous.
I’m travelling on a minimum budget and found my room great value for money. Was a good size with a little balcony
As I walked everywhere I found it difficult to find non street food close by, could be there and I didn’t see them
It was difficult to find as the room is above a nail spa with no actual signage for the accommodation so clearer instructions would’ve helped
