Pros:

En el centro del pequeño pueblo. A 2 minutos del embarcadero principal. Eso te facilita a la hora de poder moverte para comer, cenar o ver el pueblito.
Las habitaciones son espaciosas, las camas cómodas.
Daniel nos ayudó en todo. Superamable

Cons:

El agua caliente no va muy bien. Por el resto, ninguna pega

The room was great! Clean and comfortable. Toaster was not there

Cons:

The manager. He kept us waiting for 45mins and then made us rush to check in leaving our drinks and reading material behind to accomodate him. He then stopped on the way to casually buy a pipa. Took us to the room which was not ready so we waited till he got other keys. We would have stayed another night but were not encouraged. We went on to Junies where the welcome was warmer. The owner ? Chef ? Told us to hurry up sit down order quickly and leave when we arrived after our night walk for dinner. These guys are in the wrong industry.

Fantastische beleving met de boot naar Tortuguero en de excursie in National Park
Pros:

De locatie was perfect midden in het dorp en vlak bij de aankomststeiger. We werden daar al opgewacht door iemand van Budda Home die ons welkom heette en naar de accomodatie bracht. De kamer was ruim en schoon en de airco werkte goed! De wifi helaas niet zo goed en de stroom viel af ten toe uit maar dat gebeurt vaker in Tortuguero. Dat ligt niet aan Budda Home. We hadden een klein terrasje waar we toekans zagen. Er is geen ontbijt maar dat kan in het dorp als je terug komt van excursie. Wij hadden een sunrise canoe tour geboekt bij Boa. Heel aardige en bekwame gids met kleine boot! De avondtour via Budda geboekt was ook een aanrader. We hebben gegeten aan de overkant bij Budda home restaurant en de zonsondergang gezien bij El Patio met uitzicht over de rivier waar je ook lekker kunt eten.

Prima verblijf voor een paar nachtjes
Pros:

Strakke, schone inrichting van de kamers. Uitgerust met airco, tv en koelkastje. Locatie vlakbij de haven van tortuguero.

Cons:

Receptie is beetje apart in het restaurant van iemand anders, waar je mag wachten op een kattenharenbank.
Dekens en lakens zijn zwart zo kun je niet zien of het echt schoon is.

Fijn verblijf, enkele verbeterpuntjes
Pros:

De locatie is goed op de beste plek in het centrum van het dorpje aan de hoofdstraat, kamers zijn best ruim, de airco deed het goed. En de bedden zijn ook goed. De keuken was basic maar kon je wel prima een ontbijtje koken. Het was schoon maar in de badkamer lag wel wat stof.

Cons:

We hadden een kamer en het appartement. Het appartement was heel erg vochtig, en rook schimmelachtig. Kamer niks mis mee.
Foto met balkon aan rivier hierboven is een beetje misleidend, dit is maar 1 van de meerdere kamers die ze hebben, waarvan de meeste achter het cafe aan rustige hoofdstraatje niet aan rivier. Wel heb je van zelfde eigenaar het Budda cafe er tegenover, waar je kan chillen aan het water en een goed restaurant ernaast met bovenverdieping.
Een risico is dat ze geen eigen generator hebben, en als de stroom uitvalt (wat af en toe gebeurd) heb je snachts een probleem. Gelukkig bleef dat ons bespaard.

Best view of the river from the URUGUAY room.
Pros:

Perfectly situated in Tortuguero townsite for access to tours, restaurants, and shops. Easy come and go via the street-side locked door. We spent 3 nights in the the Uruguay room (#5) on the riverside. This is the picture the hotel shows on its website but from what we could tell, there is only ONE room with this view. We got lucky and booked that room so we had a tremendous view and watched the birds on the river along with the water taxis and tour boats come and go all day. Really lovely at sunset. The kitchen has a microwave and a fridge so we could have our morning coffee and our breakfast at home. The bedroom was comfortable. The room has very efficient AC which made the humid days bearable.

Cons:

The restaurant-bar next door (El Patio) has an outdoor roof-top bar that blasted loud music until 2AM. Perhaps this is just a weekend phenomenon (we were there F / S / S) and perhaps it is not as bad for the other rooms, but in our room, it was disturbing. The ocean side of the island is walkable but you cannot swim or do any activities in the ocean - big warning signs about riptides.

An amazing stay in a wonderful place!
Pros:

We stayed here during our honeymoon, and they made it feel so special for us! The hosts were very friendly and warm, and made us feel immediately at home.
We stayed in the Santiago room, which was beautifully clean and air conditioned, and really dark and quiet at night.
Lots of wildlife is nearby, we saw a monkey and an iguana from the balcony.

There was no breakfast included in my stay. Overall, loved the place - excellent location, comfortable bed.

Cons:

Couldn't get AC to go below 24, so despite the fan, it was very hot.

Lekker basic.
Pros:

De centrale ligging van het hotel was heel fijn. Je liep het terrein af en was gelijk in het dorp.

Cons:

Het is allemaal een beetje vochtig en oud. Daarnaast hadden we een lek in de badkamer van de kamer boven ons.
