Apartmenthouse Berlin - Am Görlitzer Park

large and impersonal building. It has no style. Not the shabby charm of Berlin nor cheap and practical like chain hotels, just basic. mattress and pillow were not orthopedic. Room was spacious enough but the fire exit stairs had a direct view into the room. i had eye contact with some of the people as i was killing time in my bed. Some might like it but surely it was not my thing. the park nearby is a base for drug dealers. they are friendly fellas who want to get you what you need (probably) but not the best thing for a solo traveler especially at night. i was made to pay 75 euros and had to wait an hour when I forgot my keys inside the room. They say it was written in the elevator so I had no right to complain. Even booking told me that the hotel “tried it's best to educate me not to leave keys in the room”. I cannot recommend this place unfortunately. there are just too many alternatives which would be better value for money. self service apartments should have digital/passcode locked doors. 75 euro fine for forgetting keys in the room after 7pm, it sounds more like a public guesthouse rather than a hotel.

Gorlitzer park is best avoided, but we were not warned. We found out when we met our friends, who were approached to buy drugs twice, walking through the park at 4pm on a Sunday. through the week multiple times the apartment entrance was blocked by groups of men sitting on the floor crushing or injecting drugs. Walking through the park we were approached twice ourselves and just had to say nein danke and keep walking.

The shower also randomly will go ice cold or scalding hot, and the floor was really really dirty. Just putting our feet on it when changing from our boots to slippers made them grey.

There was also no washing machine in the bathroom as seen in one of the pictures.

Lokalizacja, dilerzy i cpuni , czystosc, ostatnie pietro duszno, brak klimatyzacji,

1. The Wifi was unstable throughout our stay and we had to resort to our own private internet.
2. There was drilling activities within the building throughout our stay from as early as 7am until late in the evening. This noise significantly disturbed us.
3. Our check-in email contained a wrong code for the building main entrance, we were fortunate to see the cleaner who opened the door for us.
4. The shower area has no demarcation with the toilet. Hence the entire bathroom gets wet with water during shower.
5. Finally, there was a data breach and my name and mobile number was exposed to scammers. Till date, I still get scam Whatsapp messages from strange numbers from the USA and India about my booking at this apartment.
6. The location was near the Gorlitzer park. Which had some shady people dealing drugs.

Das Appartment war abgerockt, IKEA Möbel in schlechtem Zustand. Ein Schrank war lose und ist fast auf unser Kind gefallen - gefährlich. Tapete ging schon ab, wirklich nicht komfortabel, echt ungemütlich.

Bezahlen muss man über die eigene Internet Seite, über Booking schlägt die Zahlung fehl.
Lage direkt am Drogenumschlagsplatz.
Duschbrause schimmelt wahrscheinlich schon seit Monaten.
Versprochener und bezahlter Parkplatz nicht vorhanden.
Ventilatoren wegen Wärme zwar vorhanden aber zum schlafen komplett unbrauchbar weil zu laut.
