The Location is absolutely amazing, it’s in the end of the streets so you are in the middle of nature, right at the beach and away from noise and unnecessary light. Although the center is only a 15 min walk! The beds are super super comfortable and the hotel has an overall very friendly, clean, and bright vibe. If you want clean Caribbean Vibe, this is the place to be and disconnect completely! I would definitely choose again to stay in Lunarena.
It was close to the beach....walking distance....less than 5 minutes.
There was no "BAR"' nor restaurant service (except coffee in the morning).
There was no room service. Hardly any reception area service.
Reception Area: bathrooms were closed; no water to wash hands or feet.
Swimming pool was NOT a pool. No hand towels in bathroom.
Free advertised breakfast was fruit; anything else had to be paid for.
No bottled water nor coffee-maker in the room.
No T.V. No real Palapas on the beach.
The location is great.
Inadequate kitchen supplies. Poor coffee, not enough towels, no towels in kitchen. Garbage left smelling while we ate in breakfast area.
On the positive side, the location is excellent for beach access. They offer beach chairs, kiteboarding storage, and have a kiteboarding school on site. The hotel staff are very nice and clearly do their best. Additionally, the A/C works great, and while our room (LunArena) was basic and showed some wear, it was clean.
The rooms lack safes. We had some cash stolen from our room on two separate occasions during our stay. This could have been easily avoided with a simple in-room safe.
The "included" continental breakfast is exactly the same every day: a small plate of fruit with yogurt and granola. Anything else requires an extra fee.
Amazing stay, the staff was very friendly and the location was super nice and quiet. We loved it
I loved the room, the overall beach vibe, very nice decorated and also nice to chill in the hammock. The beach is also nearby and breakfast was tasty
Located near the end of the village, the place was wonderfully peaceful. Beautiful beach within walking distance, and the ability to borrow umbrellas and chairs was a great bonus. Jungle view, comfortable bed, and tasty breakfast. Stable air conditioning and internet. The apartment was spacious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The water pressure in the shower was extremely low – sometimes it wasn’t even enough to rinse off sand. The apartment had a kitchen, but it was very poorly equipped, making cooking nearly impossible. The biggest issue was the very noisy fridge, which we had to unplug at night in order to sleep. The breakfast selection was small, and during a longer stay, it became repetitive. Lastly, the drinking water container had small creatures swimming inside – likely tadpoles – which was disappointing.
