La primer noche nos dieron una habitación rota. Sin agua caliente, ventana rota con temperaturas bajo cero. Sabían que nos daban la habitación rota ya que nos dijeron que sería solo una noche pero eso es porque le dieron nuestra habitación a otra persona supongo.. la nueva habitación con una ducha muy mala

Pros:

Location was great. Restraunts for cheap close-by. Blue mosque it 20min walk away you need to walk up a steep hill.

Cons:

Old and rusty. Needs maintenance. If you have luggage avoid as no lift you need to carry your luggage up lots of stairs. No water bottle provided. Only good for couple of hour stopover.

Just awful
Cons:

The worst hotel we ever had.

Old, broken, with mold, stains, COCKROACHES. Do not book!

Everything is worn out, neglected, needs renovation. Everything is dirty, we arrived after midnight, and had to wipe everything just to touch without disgust.

Bed sheets with stains, cigarette burns, towels with stains. Bathroom old, with mold. They rent rooms with broken shower tap, so you hardly could turn it on, window in the bathroom didn't close, so it was cold in the bathroom. I asked the reception next day, thankfully they fixed it during the day, so they can, but don't care.

The room itself has almost no furniture: one small bed stand, covered with sticky wrap, fridge hidden in some kind of stand. Head of the bed also had stains. TV with wires hanging on the wall, don't think it's safe. A coat stand. So you don't have space to put your clothes.

The third night we had to fight cockroaches. They just appeared on the floor and walls.
I asked reception to wash the room because cockroaches were lying everywhere, they didn't.

Window in the room didn't close tightly, so it did't stop wind and cold.

Corridors smell of cigarettes, shared kitchen is dirty, so we didn't use it.

Good things: hot water in the shower, wifi was OK, the location close to the center and 15 min walk to the metro, open area on the roof with views of the city.
But it's not enough, you'll find no comfort here.

Warm hospitality in the heart of everyday Istanbul
Pros:

We spent 8 nights at this hotel as a family of three, and while the building is modest and located in a rather rundown area of Fatih, our experience was absolutely beautiful—thanks mostly to the incredibly warm and helpful hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, always available for anything we needed.

Yes, the neighborhood is chaotic and quite economically disadvantaged, but it gave us access to local life, friendly shop owners, and prices much lower than in more touristy areas. If you're looking for an authentic, real Istanbul experience and don't mind the hustle and bustle, this might just be your place.

The room was simple but clean, with a private bathroom, and we especially appreciated the communal kitchen and rooftop terrace—a true gem for evening tea with a breeze and panoramic views of Istanbul’s skyline.

Perfect base if you're open-minded, flexible, and curious.

Good if you just want a cheap bed

Cheap accomodation with friendly staff

Cons:

It is just a small simple hotel room (not a holiday flat). There is one kitchen for all guests. Entrance to the hotel has many stairs. The room and everything in the hotel needs renovation (or guests which don't care that there are a lot of small damages). TV did not work (and I did not ask for help because I was too tired). Also more information about how to reach the hotel with public transport would have been helpful.
