Lovely hotel with friendly host close to Chirripo trailhead. Highly recommendable. They provide breakfast bag to take with you if you start your hike early.
Beautiful gardens and great breakfast
A gem at an affordable price. I loved the staff, the breakfasts, the gardens, the clean and simple rooms and the proximity to local markets and mountain hiking. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Wat een magische plek was dit! We hadden geen betere afsluiter voor onze vakantie kunnen vinden dan hier. Supervriendelijk, de tuin op zich was een natuurpark. Mooie lodge en proper! Niks op aan te merken

Todo bien en general, aunque el precio algo elevado. Un poco menor y sería perfecto!!!
Wij vonden het een geweldige locatie, hele fijne huisjes in een prachtig aangelegde tuin, waar je over verschillende paden kan wandelen, er is zelfs een uitzichtpunt.
Wij hadden 2 accommodaties, een kleinere maar heel nieuw met een reusachtig bed en een grotere met keukentje en lekker terras. Ze waren heel comfortabel, douche is uitstekend, geen airco maar dat is ook niet nodig omdat de nachten vrij koel zijn.
We hebben een aantal keren in het hotel gegeten, dat was super lekker, zeer verzorgd typisch costaricaans en grote porties, net als het ontbijt. Wij vonden het het beste restaurant in San Gerardo de Rivas, er zijn meerdere restaurants maar die zijn duurder en amerikaanser.
Een leuke activiteit in de omgeving vonden wij de vogelkijkplaats voorbij hotel Uran, wel 4x4 nodig en wandelen richting Chirripo, je hoeft niet helemaal naar de top.
Included breakfast was excellent. The ‘Desayuno Siebert’ was amazing. Walking the gardens and paths on the property was truly magical. Birds, a very sweet and playful cat, and some curious and friendly agouti are all in the gardens as well. So fun!
The gardens were beautiful, lots of different plants, agoutis running about, ponds and a lookout at the top of the trail. It is a short drive to Talamanca Nature Reserve (where for $10 per person you had a day"s access to their trails), Cloudbridge and hot springs. We loved our "cabin in the jungle" and the owner, Vernon, was terrific and very helpful.

Parking is easy and on the property.
It’s quite at night to sleep well with windows open.
No hot water.
Kitchen, almost no cutlery or anything helpful to prepare some fruits or do anything.
No private bathroom.

The cabin was extremely clear and the family that run the business were all super kind people. The gardens on the property were BEAUTIFUL!!!
The setting is beautiful. Bernard and his family were such kind hosts. They took the time to enjoy the wildlife with our kids and even informed us when we left behind a camera and helped get it back to us. The food was delicious. It was a lovely stay.
