Pros:

Our host was very helpful and welcoming. He guided us to the nearby parking spaces and then to the property. The dinner and breakfast (at an additional cost) was well done and the portion was fulfilling. The room was large and staying in a cave home was a novel experience.

Cons:

The meal place and the actual residence were a few hundred metres from each other and only connected by stairs, which may be inconvenient if travelling with large baggage. Being a cave home, the location was quite humid and cool.

Abbiamo alloggiato nella grotta Thami solo una notte purtroppo, ma il contesto era molto particolare e mistico.
La famiglia ospitante è stata gentilissima e ci hanno regalato una fantastica esperienza.
La grotta è fresca, piena di oggettistica, storia e familiarità. Cosa che mi è piaciuta moltissimo, stavamo proprio cercando questo.
Il bagno era molto piccolino ma per noi non è stato un problema, siamo piccole anche noi!

L'host Thami e sua moglie sono stati eccezionali, molto gentili e simpatici. Dormire in grotta è stata una bella esperienza. Il paese è molto tranquillo. La moglie di Thami ci ha preparato una cena marocchina dentro un'altra grotta. Consiglio questa piacevole esperienza.

Die Erfahrung in einer Höhle zu schlafen war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Das Besondere an unserem Aufenthalt waren aber die Gastgeber! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und köstlich bewirtet. Der gemeinsame Spaziergang in der Umgebung war sehr interessant! Was für ein toller Tag!

Cons:

Wir hatten das Pech an einen recht kalten Tag zu übernachten. In der Hõhle gab es jedoch Heizkörper und ausreichend Decken.

A one-of-a-kind experience in an incredible cave home in an authentic Moroccan community.
Pros:

It was a unique experience to stay in the cave. Our host, Thami, was very warm and helpful and took good care of us. We enjoyed staying in an authentic Moroccan town with no other tourists.

Cons:

The cave was a bit damp and musty. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very basic.

C’était une expérience très intéressante et originale. Découvrir une maison creusée dans une grotte à Bhalil est quelque chose de vraiment unique et nouveau pour moi. La décoration est faite avec des objets anciens, ce qui donne beaucoup de charme et d’authenticité au lieu. La famille qui gère l’endroit a été très accueillante et attentionnée. Jaime et son épouse m’ont aidé à découvrir la maison, à y accéder facilement et étaient toujours disponibles pour aider en cas de besoin. On se sent vraiment bien accompagné.

Bhalil old town is a very special place, where one can really see a realistic way of life that has developed into a strong knitted community. The stay is very particular, yet increasingly interesting to experience and see. It is comfortable and everything is well taken care of. The host is super friendly and kind, all the team is very hospitable and overall wonderful.

It is very big, but of course very ideal for families!

Établissement atypique et très authentique dans un village très accueillant ! Coup de foudre du Maroc pour ce village où les marocains t' accueillent encore chez eux comme il y a 4o ans. Nous y avons passé un merveilleux Noël en famille.
A refaire sans hésiter.

Amazing experience out of the beaten tracks!
Pros:

This is definitely a highlight from our trip in Morocco. It took us out of the beaten tracks and we enjoyed every bit of this experience. Thami was very nice and attentive. He was very keen on giving us some background about this unusual accommodation which was very interesting. We were genuinely impressed with the cave. Totally recommend it!
