Golden Tulip Suite Apart

This listing is a fraud. I booked Golden Tulip Suite Apart (Aug 21–25, 2025) expecting a legitimate hotel — instead it was a dirty, unsafe basement apartment pretending to be a hotel. The name is deliberately misleading and they are deceptive.
Major problems (all true):
• Paid in full before arrival; they attempted a second charge on Aug 26. The payment was processed under SAFRAN OTELCILIK ISTANBUL, not “Golden Tulip”. This is shady — do not give these people your card details.
• No hotel facilities: no reception, no signage, no staff — only one man who handed over keys.
• Hygiene: heavy presence of insects and flies (photos attached).
• False “breakfast”: advertised breakfast turned out to be a tiny piece of cheese and a slice of tomato — insulting and fraudulent.
• Maintenance & safety: one toilet does not flush; several windows won’t close or have no protection, including a window that opens to a junk area and an upper window that faces a noisy street — easy to break in and steal your stuff.
• Air conditioning units are fixed temperature with no control — unbearable if you need to change it.
This is dangerous and dishonest. I stayed one night and left. Report this listing, demand a refund from Booking and your bank, and never book or give card details to this place. Share my photos as proof.

Por decir algo que el apartamento tiene poca ventilación y las tapas del WC están pegadas, pero insignificante, todo estuvo genial y la estacia fue mas que satisfactoria.

没想到是半地下室，关键是窗户外都是一堆堆的垃圾，很脏，没有提前说需要现金，造成我们的困扰

Al llegar pagamos en efectivo, como nos habían pedido, pero no tenían cambio y tampoco nos dieron un recibo. Tuvimos que insistir varias veces y al final tardaron dos días en devolvernos el cambio (30 euros). Una de las habitaciones da a la calle y la ventana está justo al lado de unas sillas y mesas donde se sentaron varias personas que estuvieron hasta las 3 de la mañana hablando en voz alta. Fue imposible dormir allí.
No había cafetera. El último día no tuvimos electricidad.

Al estar en Old Estambul, con la lluvia estuvimos sin luz, sin wifi, sin agua caliente.

Anticuado.

Nos resultó sorprendente que la señora de la limpieza del bloque tuviera el cuarto con lavadora, ropa de cama, etc ... Dentro de nuestro alojamiento; en un cuarto cerrado con llave, por lo que entraba y salía de nuestro alojamiento cuando quería (poca privacidad y no teníamos llave para cerrar las habitaciones.

El espacio con mesa y bancos, a modo de saloncito para compartir espacio juntos la familia, está en medio del baño y una habitación.

Cocina pequeña, estaría muy bien tener una tostadora

Attention pas de machine à laver ( même si l'hôte s'est arrangé pour nous le nettoyer) et manque de vaisselle pour cuisiner.

Needs to be refurbished. A lot of damaged walls, a broken railing on a perilous spiral stair, toilet seats won’t stay up as other reviews have said. Rooms are very tight and ours was at floor -1.

The apartment was long but narrow. Intermittent cold water.
