We arrived on October 1st to discover that the pool was closed for the whole winter. We checked the Baglio Cella listing and there is no mention that the pool would be closed. In fact it said the pool would be open until 14 October the previous year. The reason we chose Baglio Cello was the pool. We asked for a refund, or at least some kind of discount. This is the answer we received: "Good evening, I apologize for this situation. Last year the pool was open till 14 October because there were more guests and the weather was better and warmer than now. This week it rained almost every day and besides, unfortunately, during your stay there will be only 4 guests. Concerning the description, booking doesn't give us the possibility to specify the day when we open and close the pool (in Airbnb, for example, this is written from June to September, that is during the summer). I will speak about your request with the owners and I'll let you know as soon as possible." We received no discount and were not permitted to cancel our booking. I can understand their reasoning for closing the pool in winter. We do not consider October, especially the first week of October, to be off season. Why force guests to pay for a facility that isn't being offered? The rate should be less and, at minimum, the closure should be communicated in advance via a message giving us the opportunity to cancel. So what if it's raining or there are not many guests? That can happen at any time and it's the cost of doing business. Not acceptable.

As this is a self catering apartment I would have appreciated a better equipped kitchen. There was no electric kettle, no oil, no teapot.

We were greeted by an employee who demanded a deposit of €50 which she put in her own pocket. I requested a receipt and got it,handwritten on a piece of paper. This is most likely out of the conditions as laid out by booking.com. On the day of our departure we got our money back - only after the employee made my wife carry all our leftovers to the dustbin herself.

I would recommend to the owners to seek a replacement of that employee who does not give credit to this beautiful location.

Staff made a mistake in checking us in, even thought it can happen, she was not very apologetic and helpful, not great human touch.

The only issue we had during our stay had to do with the noisy guests staying next to us. The different apartments are very close together, sharing walls and a small patio, where there’re tables and chairs. Our neighbours, a group of 4 or 5, spent their evenings out in the patio, being particularly loud and inconsiderate to others until the early hours of the morning. I’m an early bird, and couldn’t get much rest during my holiday. An absolute shame, otherwise it’d be spot on.
