The stay was average, not worth the money spent.
Pros:

The property was very spacious. The location was prime, very close to the metro station, it was good for getting around. The staff was very helpful. They helped us a lot to carry our luggage, unlocking the main gates even at late hours, changing the bedsheets whenever we requested.

Cons:

The property seemed to be old and not properly maintained. There was paint coming off the walls. The sofa was burnt and broken in some places. Although the description mentioned 2 sofa beds, there was no sofa bed in the room. There were not enough chairs for 6 people despite the maximum occupancy was 6. When we arrived, the floors were very dusty, however, it was mopped very promptly by the staff only after we requested. The bedsheets, blankets and pillow cover had stains on them. The jet spray in one of the bathrooms was not working on the first day which was fixed on the next day. Overall, there was a cleanliness and maintenance issue. All of these could have been cleaned before we arrived specially because we were late and there was enough time for it.

Me & my wife stayed. In between my son, daughter in law and grandson joined. Nice staying
Pros:

Location was excellent. Staffs behaviour were very good. Kitchen equipment, utensils were sufficient. Provision of washing machine was helpful. Behaviour of owner was excellent.

Cons:

Wash room doors need repairment. The door bell was problematic.

During our stay at Aster Homestay in Kolkata, our group of nine had a fantastic experience.
