Corte Pomponazza

Etre au centre de la ville est un grand avantage. L'accueil était chaleureux et attentionné. Il y avait à peu près tout pour cuisiner réellement un repas familial.

A large apartment in a 16th century building, with AC, nice view of the lake, interior garden where you can park your car for free. The house is equipped with everything needed. Very nice owner who gave us lots of recommendations, including a good tip for a local restaurant.

Видимо, какое-то время назад в аппартаментах была проблема с кондиционером и хозяин отправил нам сообщение, описав проблему, предложил варианты решения (в том числе отмену без какого-либо штрафа в случае, если мы передумаем приехать). В наш приезд оказалось, что и кондиционер починили, работает, а еще есть и вентиляторы, и сетки на окнах. Так что запасенные нами на всякий случай Раптор и Фумитокс не пригодились. Ни одного комара встречено не было, температура в помещении комфортная несмотря на нереальную жару на улице. Хозяин разговаривает на нескольких языках, помог с багажом, все лично показал. В день выезда нам разрешили еще на несколько часов оставить машину в закрытом дворе, пока мы гуляли по городу. Во дворе ласточки, цветы на окнах, из кухни вид на озеро. Кухня большая, огромный холодильник, кофемашина и капсулы с кофе, посуда, все чистое. Достаточно полотенец, фен. Все топ.

Excellent location in a beautiful old building, just by the lake. Very nice and helpful owner. Lots of nice places around, including restaurants (owner recommended us some nice spots), stores and sightseeing.

We were travelling by car and needed to get to our 'hotel', park up, unload and get out into the centre as soon as possible, This is where Corte Pomponazza scores. There's a private courtyard with 5 or 6 parking spaces, most of them used by appartment owners it seems. It's not secured, is in the open but it's far enough of the beaten track that your car is as safe as it's going to be. There is, of course, ample public parking which surrounds Mantua's city walls which I would use if I was in a less conspicuous car. The flat is on the second floor ...or at least the one we used. It's perfectly functional but it doesn't ooze charm or much warmth. It's clean and it does the job but it's not a place you'd want to linger in that much. Of course, that's not a problem because within a 5 minute walk you're in the centre of Mantua with a myriad of bars and restaurants.

The location just a few hundred metres from the historic centre of Mantova was fantastic, the host was extremely helpful and carried the luggage up and down the flights of stairs, the views over the lake were wonderful. Everything was very clean and nicely presented. Would defintiely recommend and would stay again.
