Maynooth Serviced Studios

The room was smaller than what I thought I had booked. Please make sure to use accurate pictures of each studio room so that there are no mix ups when booking.

Blinds need replacing. Place could do with a repaint & stairs carpet cleaned of stains

The apartment had no airflow, with signage on the windows requesting you don’t open them. The tap in the kitchen was basically falling off. There was black mould on the bathroom walls, probably because of the airflow. There were no instructions on how to lock the front door and at one point we were told there were lost keys and requesting that no one’s locks the entrance. Security was bad and the entry to the apartment was via an electronic lock which was also loose and basically falling off. Questions and or statements to staff went unanswered regarding the front door and no existent internet connection on the wifi.

We were allocated room No.5 which is at the top of the building. 4 flights of narrow stairs to navigate each flight between 6-10 steps. We were forwarded all the self check-in details which were easy to access the property. Our room was unlocked which was odd as we weren't the only guests staying at the property. We were also sent all the WiFi info to access the free WiFi. The television in this particular room can only be accessed via the Internet. We tried numerous times on both of our phones but we couldn't connect at all. Shortly after we arrived we messaged the host Julie and advised her that we were having trouble connecting to the WiFi to access the television. We also contacted the phone number provided by the host for any help we may need. We called 3 times and left 3 voicemails. We were booked in for 2 nights. The host didn't have the common decency to reply to our message or voicemail. Having read through some reviews on this property, we noticed other guests had highlighted the WiFi issues and particularly room 5. I am assuming that the hosts are aware of the issue and I found it very unprofessional that they ignore their guests when they have issues with the facilities etc. The other issues I had was the state of the roller blind in the room, it has seen better days. There is only 1 very small section of the window in this room that opens and is useless on warm nights. Having stayed at this property previously which I rated excellent. It has been very disappointing this time.

Price. I appreciate it’s the market and what customers are willing to pay but I just came from love where a beautiful room, with a sea view and high quality buffet breakfast including a raft of juices, warm and cold food, even a honeycomb platter was 25€ cheaper. The pricing is absurd and driving tourists away

The way you get in or luckily get in. Was informed to collect key from box and no keys so sat outside. Luckily someone staying opened door. Once in room the heat was ridiculous no aircon even though it says there is. Electric door beeped every 30 secs throughout the night and the so called 24/7 service that Julia says is absolutely bull s**t excuse the language and the number they provide never gets beyond engaged sound

a little confusion during check-in but I've stayed here several times before and it was always seamless so this particular time was definitely a one-off.

It was very hot in the apartment with the window only opening a crack. Perhaps a fan or allowing the windows to open fully would have helped.

Everything was great

Broken window blind (not a recent break, looked tatty). Noisy. Room above v loud.
Window wouldn’t shut properly.

Maybe a little noise if on street side & no hairdryer

A hassle to get apartment entry codes.
Small space. Window and general security poor.
No instructions for kitchen equipment usage.
