The staff in the hotel were lovely friendly and very helpful nothing was to much trouble ,great views across the river ,will be coming back again later in the year visiting family and will stay here definitely
The only thing wrong was that in our room the emergency light was on ,so for my partner she found it a little inconvenient as it was like a low wattage light been on,we did report and they was going to look into it ,certainly didn't spoil our stay
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The heating didn't work for the duration of our stay and it was freezing temperatures. Not good when staying a child. They brought a portable heater on the second night.
Perfect 👌
The location is great, close to Heysham, Lancaster and Morecambe. It has the added mystery of being on the Lune estuary with the tide occasionally coming across the road.
Not being told about the planned power cut. It was in the day and didn't affect me much.
Peaceful location, with clean cosy accommodation.
Just be aware of tide times, but no big issue.
Good location, close to local towns. Lovely cottages with pub onsite, serving good food, with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Emergency lighting in room made it difficult to sleep but wasn’t a major problem.
The cottage was nice and bed comfortable.
Plenty of tea, coffee and toiletries.
Didn't realise from the pictures that cottage was opposite side of car park from pub so a bit noisy with folk leaving and car doors closing.
The road leading to the accommodation floods at high tide and there is no vehicular access to the property. Although not normally too much of an issue, it made it unsuitable for our needs.
Relaxed break with great area for walking and taking our dog to, facilities very good and warm and friendly welcome from the staff, definitely recommend, will definitely return
The room was lovely, clean well set out and comfortable
It was just a little out of the way
No kitchen facilities…
Smaller than expected
Access difficult as road flooded at high tide
Unfortunately we arrived late due to delays on the ferry crossing but the staff went above and beyond to supply food and drinks at eleven thirty in the evening. The rooms were very clean and the facilities were good.
Would have given an excellent rating for the visit, however we had a leak on the bathroom floor on arrival, there was no spare toilet paper. Also only two cups in room but it was booked for four and cottage four one of the guest scalded their hands from the hot water tap.
A lovely, spacious apartment with everything needed for your stay. Dog and child friendly. Fantastic views overlooking the river and a great pub serving delicious food. What more could you want?!
Nothing
Lovely views across the estuary, the pub beer garden/field is handy for a dog owner as it's fenced in off the road and the pub is dog friendly. Parking outside the room was convenient.
Booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2. The room was tired and everything dusty. Bed was extremely uncomfortable with painful springs, making sleep impossible, and a leaking shower left the carpet wet and smelling damp by the bed. Shower water pressure was bad. Heating was erratic during freezing weather but hot tap was always scalding, no WiFi, and basic tea/coffee inadequate, only half a toilet roll supplied for 3 nights. Fridge was tiny and only held a bottle of milk. Check in was disorganised with no prior information provided, limited food options/times at the pub, seemed disinterested, although the pub owner Lucy was helpful and finally managed to check us in, she said there's no WiFi signal which had read about prior. I understand that the owners don't manage it and it is up to the pub, so communication isn't joined up. However, for the price, a comfortable bed, working shower, hassle free check in and WiFi are not unreasonable things to expect.
This place was an amazing stay for new year. We took our new pup for 2 nights and the facilities were lovely. Exactly like the photos and the owners and staff are so accommodating and went the extra mile for us! The cottage was super clean and lots of fresh towels. There’s a fridge and kettle which is handy. Room was warm and the thermostat was easy to work. Even if there were any issues which there wasn’t, I know Lucy would have helped to sort it!
There is a pub in the main building that’s absolutely lovely. Prices are cheap and they also do food (just not on mon and tues I think). We had toasties and they brought them over to the cottage for us which was lovely.
We found a path down by the water to walk the dog and then visited the half moon bay for a lovely coastal walk. Was exactly what we wanted for a quiet stay. 10/10 would definitely come back 😊
Nothing! Everything was great.
