Misleading Listing – Damp, Dirty, and Unsafe

The property is advertised as “split level,” but it’s essentially a basement flat with only the entrance and toilets at ground level. The rest is underground. Bedding was damp and smelly, with no protectors and even blood spots on a spare duvet. Cushions and carpets were filthy, with strong odors and stray hairs. Kitchen was cramped, with no proper cooking facilities and barely space to sit. Fridge door couldn’t fully open. No locks on doors, loose toilet seats, one toilet light didn’t work, and wooden flooring in one toilet. Dangerous stairs with no warning strip or banister. Screws sticking up from carpet grippers. Worst of all, the only fire exit was upstairs — the second fire exit was behind a locked door, which is a major safety risk. Very disappointed and would not stay again.

Pros:

The theme and vibe was so good, perfect for girls night

Cons:

There were no toilets downstairs which was a bit of an inconvenience. Also the noise coming from outside was a lot louder than we expected with being underground
