Very spacious.
When we got there, we were given the keys. Unlocked the door to the apartment, and there was a group of boys in there. Went back to reception and was told there can't be. Turns out the boys were given the spare key to our apartment. They were then given the correct keys and shown to their apartment.
The boys had taken a shower as they had been to the beach so there was sand everywhere. The room had to be recleaned for us. When we did get back into the room, it was spotless. Noticed as well when making a coffee, the complementary biscuits had been opened and left there.
Good location, very comfortable beds
Musty smell on entering, hard to get rid of as most windows don't open. Didn't realise the apartment was in the basement.
nice spacious rooms, comfy beds
did not have breakfast
two nights running there was a horrendous amount of noise from the flat beneath us and although we asked staff to act, there was no improvement and we had three young children with us; there was swearing, shouting, door slamming
Good location, the flat was spacious and comfortable but could do with a far better design for an apartment for a family if using it for a week. For a couple of days would be fine.
The price was bonkers for what it was. We booked Ty Belgrave, they called when we were nearly there to say that they had allowed the current users to stay so it wasn't available! Credit to Booking.com they agreed to cover the near twice the price between Ty Belgrave and this property. Ty Belgrave (not associated with Marine Terrace) is a truly awful bunch of could not care less. I hope Booking.com clobbered them with costs, they deserve it. If I had to pay the rate myself we would not have stayed, far too expensive for what it is.
We had the ground floor apartment. There were two chairs in front of the window and it was lovely to sit there and enjoy the view. Apartment was clean and welcoming.
There was just one small shower room with toilet. It was fine, as there were just the two of us, but I do think it wouldn’t have been enough if the apartment was fully occupied by 6 people. Also it was en suite in one of the bedrooms so not ideal.
The kitchenette is really only suitable for making drinks and small snacks, and has a tiny basin. The freezer compartment door was missing in the fridge… our ice cream melted!
This was in a great location along the seafront. My kids loved looking out the bay window at the sea right outside! It was less than a 5-minute walk into the centre of town, and having parking on-sit was really helpful.
It was a slightly unusual set up, with 3 bedrooms in a line (so you had to walk through the 2nd to get to the 3rd). There also seemed to be a lot of extra furniture. When we arrived, the freezer had clearly been defrosted - there was water all over the kitchen floor! Unfortunately there wasn't great communication between the main hotel and the apartment - we ordered a takeaway that was delivered to the hotel (a few buildings down), but no one told us the food had arrived. I eventually went over to the hotel and the food had been waiting at the reception desk for more than 30 minutes :( Apart from these (which were really only minor inconveniences), the apartment was perfect for our stay in Aberystwyth.
We loved the location, friendly staff, car parking etc
We didn’t like the smell of damp when entering the property, the rooms were full of mis matched furniture gave it a furniture store feel. If we had stayed in the apartment that I viewed in the gallery photos then we would have been very happy with the amount we paid. But the apartment was in a poor state and sub standard to the photos.
Location was brilliant, sea view room with easy parking.
Dated room interior, broken pieces of furniture and curtains.
The location was right on the sea front with easy access to the town. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Perfectly adequate for a night.
The apartment was in the roof so had restricted headroom which was not clear at time of booking. The bathroom had no lock on the door and the kitchen facilities were limited, only one teaspoon no tea towels or oven gloves. We were only there for one night and only ate breakfast in the property but the little things were annoying.
