Overall, not worth the money and I wouldn't stay here again

Really disappointed, the shower was clogged from the start, making it unpleasant to use, and during my entire stay the only time the room was cleaned was on the day I left. Getting in and out of the property was another hassle- every time you had to track down security to open the gate. The staff were not helpful at all, and reception didn't seem to know how to deal with issues when I asked for assistance.

I refer to my stay at your accommodation last night, 22 May 2025.

I did not have a good experience of my stay and wish to highlight the following:
• I notified the property that my flight is only arriving in Jhb after 9pm, which means that I only arrived there after 10pm.
• I got to an empty reception. I followed the instructions on where to find my key, only to struggle with the code and eventually got hold of the security guy that was on his round outside of the building.
• He assisted me and only to discover my key was not in the box (Room 1204).
• After phoning the number for housekeeping, I was told to look in a different box (Room 1206) – to get the key there.
• This took me almost an hour to sort out
• The warm water was not getting warm and I was not timeously notified of this.
• I also arranged for a transport drop off in the morning, I received a response inwriting to confirm this will be arranged at no charge.
• When I got to reception the morning, no one knew about it and I was not assisted.
• I also struggled to get the key in the box as the code did not work, so I had no choice but to leave the key with reception, who was also hesitant to take the key. According to them it was a private booking, which I was not aware of as I booked on Bookings.com.
• I just felt that all this information should have been provided to me upfront to ensure that I (the client) feels comfortable and safe with my surroundings in how I was being received and how my stay was managed.

Overall, the apartment was nice but it was just dirty and stuffy which made my stay very underwhelming.
Pros:

The city view was beautiful and the stuff were very welcoming and nice.

Cons:

The property wasn’t clean, I had to clean it upon arrival. The sink had small pieces of food, the cutlery has strains on them and the microwave was greasy. The shower door had stains, the toilet wasn’t clean inside, we had limited toilet paper and the towel in the bathroom had brown stains.
