Beautiful location, beach and property, but needs better maintenance
Pros:

The staff were pleasant and friendly. Hugo went the extra mile in trying to resolve situations, but in things out of his personal reach or responsibility he was hampered by not being able to help out at times (like with the air conditioner—see below). We all loved the beach and delightfully big pool and spent many happy hours there. Minerva was a stellar cook for the family and powerful at cleaning laundry on two occasions in record time! Wow!

Cons:

Despite frequent requests the air conditioning unit in our bedroom was never fixed and, when it became evident that the unit was not working (for five days at least!), a portable unit was not offered, so my wife and I did not sleep well in the stuffy heat and also, due to the cleaning staff leaving the entrance door open, we were plagued by little invisible biting bugs and mosquitoes, and the fan was too weak to turn up to blow them away. The roof of the upper apartment was leaking badly and water came down the stairs and in through the balcony door, and we were surprised that this was never fixed. It was a danger for my daughter carrying her 6 month old downstairs and my grandson (aged 2) who could easily have fallen downstairs. There seemed to be a lot of rules—two pages of them—and we felt that was restricting. We were careful to obey what we read, but were appalled at the loud noise and music that was being played in the apartments below ours, and no one seemed to talk to the perpetrators. We all felt that we were paying more money than we should have done, because so much was shortcoming and not maintained well (air conditioner, leaks, etc.). Despite the lovely facilities we do not feel we will be back until facilities are repaired and working properly.

Great family place from very little to very old. Beautiful and quiet beach.
Pros:

Quick resolve by staff to our queries, standing out were Hugo and Pedro Pablo. In general all staff is very friendly and forthcoming.
Our two bedroom suite was very ample and in good shape, except maybe the furniture on the terrace

Cons:

there was really nothing to dislike, maybe a few more Kitchen utensils, cloths to dry dishes, as we did not use the cleaning service of the hotel.
Ahhh there was a dishwashers, from previous experiences we brought our own little sopa tablets, unfortunately the dishwasher wouldn't draw water, hence did not work.
